If you notice, Gretchen Carlson has a uncomfortable look on her face while Brian Kilmeade is making his point.

Otherwise, while there is indeed laughing, to me, came across as awkward laughing, rather than as genuine laughing.

I got the impression early on she knew where he was going and was trying to redirect him.duxup
Exactly what I was thinking.

I saw no attempt at humor and he said "thats how I feel" at the end As far as im concerned that was a totally serious statement on his behalf.

 No, he wan't implying anything. He was joking around, it was obvious he wasn't serious.

i guess it's true that liberals don't have a sense of humor.

Or maybe it just wasn't funny?

[QUOTE="Free_Marxet"] I dont think there was ever a time in which there were pure genes. people invaded, traded and raped way too much. americans know fox news and msnbc are bull as well

Ragnarok1051

It depends on how you define pure, but at the very least we can say there hasn't been anything that would come close to anyone's definition for centuries. Also, don't lump MSNBC in with Fox, not here. There are many things you can say about MSNBC, but to date I have yet to hear any of their commentators refer to ethnicities as different species and say that intermarriage is a bad thing.

MSNBC is just as stupid as Fox.

I'll repeat, I have never heard anyone on MSNBC refer to different ethnicities as species or suggest that marrying between ehtnicities is in any way inferior. When you can provide me with a link of such I'll admit they are, but to my knowledge no one has ever done so on MSNBC. In conclusion, talking about eugenics=Fox is indeed more stupid.

As for humor, there was another Fox thread a while back, forget what it was about, I think some racial comment a Fox commentator made, and people said it was supposed to be a joke. I'll ask the same questionI asked back then, what's the joke? Oh, ha, ha, eugenics, you've got me in stitches! Besides, it didn't look to me like this guy was joking. He wasn't talking in a sarcastic tone, it seemed like he was going off on his own tangent and the other two were laughing for the sheer fact that they had no idea what to do.

When it comes to stuff like this, I personally think that "innocent until proven guilty" is an important credo to live by, and I don't think that video constitutes nearly sufficient evidence to support the idea that the guy is a racist.

When its fox and conservatives its guilty until proven guilty. People love to attack both, if its fair is of little value at all. Its no suprise they don't get treated fairly and are judged under different standards, if this was CNN nobody say a word.

Well, MSNBC is just as bad (bias wise) but sort of in the other direction. but if you want to talk about racial stuff typically right wing believes theyre inferior and thats that, while left thinks theyre inferior and need white peoples help. its pretty sad, but thats the state of affairs.

Yeah, I caught that as well. It's hard to believe that someone that unintelligent can get a commentator position on a major "news" network.

I'm not a big fan of any of any of the cable news network, but to me Fox News is the worse. There's bias and then there's propaganda; Fox news falls into the latter in my opinion, especially when considering all the sensationalism, and it hasn't gotten any better with a democrat in the White house.

For the most part to get on TV news in general the requirements seem to be attractive and the ability to read news off of a teleprompter.

No offense, but if someone honestly believes that a group of individuals making up about a quarter to a third of the entire population is significantly different in terms of conduct than another group of individuals making up another third of the population, then I think that person might do well to ask whether that impression comes from being included in one of those two groups. :P That liberals don't pick up and run with something stupid another liberal did is nothing shocking. Conservatives act identically when a conservative does something possibly stupid.

It always goes the exact same way:

1. A (liberal/conservative) says something either dumb or which could be construed in a negative light.

2. (Conservatives/Liberals) post it and express either sincere or feigned outrage over it.

3. (Liberals/Conservatives) reply in defense of the person and explain why what he or she said really wasn't very noteworthy when taken properly.

4. On and on it goes until the next liberal or conservative says something bad, at which point the roles either are reversed or stay constant, depending on the political ideology of the new person putting a foot in his or her mouth.

I don't want to have a contest to see who is the stupidest. They are both stupid in their own right, and they would benefit the world if they were both taken off the air.

I'm pretty sure their constant crying about talk radio and conservative media is just a coincidence then. I am sure the fairness doctrine means nothing either. Where were you in 2001 - 2006? Don't try to deny they do act like they are suffering some sort of evil persecution, the left is just as guilty, not innocent. Welcome back to earth.

If one thinks like this I would ask if the belief is based off of fact or not. If the impression comes from being included in one of those groups. I am neither left not right so my impression can't possibly come from that. Now is your impression coming from a neutral standpoint? I am going based on large of what I have seen from both sides.

MoonMarvel

If you're going based off of what you've seen on the internet, then it would make perfect sense for you to see what you have seen without needing to assert that liberals are worse than conservatives. Statistically speaking, there are more liberals than conservatives on the internet. Because of that, the fact that you see more liberals complaining about conservatives than conservatives complaining about liberals is just a matter of numbers: you see more liberals, period, so of course you're also going to see more liberas complaining about conservatives.

I quite frankly have seen no evidence whatsoever to support hte idea that liberals are in some way worse than conservatives in terms of conduct. Both sides are pretty much majority stupid hypocrites who care more about ideology than truth.

Where were you in 2001 - 2006?

MoonMarvel

And what happened in 2006? The Democrats won a general election and now with Obama also in the White House the roles have completely reversed, with Republicans and Republican-leaning individuals now whining about every single thing the Democrats are doing instead of Democrats whining about every single thing the Republicans are doing.

The most important divide is "in power"/"not in power". There is a much bigger correlation between being in one of those groups and one's conduct than being in an ideological faction.

That is just so stupid it's actually kind of depressing. What does he think constitutes "pure" genes anyways? Sweden is a nation... not a biological group. National borders and politics do not define a "species." I hope the guy's embarassed, but he might not be bright enough for that.

If one thinks like this I would ask if the belief is based off of fact or not. If the impression comes from being included in one of those groups. I am neither left not right so my impression can't possibly come from that. Now is your impression coming from a neutral standpoint? I am going based on large of what I have seen from both sides.

Actually I have seen more than a few conservatives, I was even on one so I have seen about as many. Its just wherever I go, online or TV and real life the liberals were always more hostile then the conservatives. Am I supposed to ignore all that? I have seen more than a few stupid conservatives, I am no fan of Limbaugh or Hannity, but as a rule I have come into contact with more on the left than the right. Peoples views are based on their interactions with those groups.

[QUOTE="MoonMarvel"] Thats easy, Liberals. You're always talking about it. Seems everyday you are talking about how outgunned and mistreated you are. And I'm a Moderate Agnostic so save that. MoonMarvel

... I'm sorry, I'm from earth. Where are you from?

I don't need you to tell me what you are. I already knew you were an exception to the rule.

Lol the "fairness doctrine" is complete and utter BS and was not championed by many liberals.

I think you're a little confused. Liberals don't feel persecuted by Fox News or "talk radio." No one's referring to it as "the conservative media," because Fox News is just one channel among several more balanced views and Talk Radio is not a news source so much as it is an outlet for conservatives to create their own reality, while they're busy ignoring the real one.

However, liberals will talk about the two when they make fools of themselves or make certain inflammatory or absurd statements like the one highlighted in this thread or Michael J. Fox "faking" his illness. In other words, they're a joke, not a perceived threat.

Great now the Swedish will try to conquer the world saying they are the original and pure race because of their genes.

Television is an extremely poor news source, if it can be considered one at all.

I don't know if the dude is racist or not. I'm guessing he just has no concept of the historical implications such discussion has lead to. Dude is just talking and doesn't realize where that stuff leads.

Kudos to the lady next to him who tried to divert him.

I'm really, honestly curious whether they genuinely are more hostile than the conservatives or whether you just notice it more when it comes from liberals. I didn't really want to go down this route, but I have to echo SpaceMoose and ask about the claim that you're "neither left nor right", because, frankly, I would be skeptical of that claim from anyone. This is for the simple reason that unless someone has no opinions about any political issues whatsoever, it seems to me that it would be almost impossible to truly be neither left nor right. And this kind of troubles me, because that sounds more like you're just unaware of your political leanings than that you truly do not have any. This is not really uncommon; most people tend to place the center right where they are and then perceive things from that vantage point rather than actually attempting to objectively perceive where the real center is. This is what has caused people to absurdly refer to people like John Kerry as conservative - they're so far to the left that just about everyone else is on the other side - at least as far as they're concerned.

But the reason why I bring this up is because the less someone is aware of their political leanings, the more difficult it will be for that person to take such things into account in life. When someone identifies with a group, whether consciously or otherwise, they will be much more likely to defend people in that group than they will be for people in a group that they don't identify with. And if one cannot bring such identifications to the conscious sector, it will be nigh impossible for them to recognize what's really going on.

 No, he wan't implying anything. He was joking around, it was obvious he wasn't serious.

i guess it's true that liberals don't have a sense of humor.

Or that liberals don't find stupid idiotic jokes humorous.
