Fraps and voice recording

I'm trying to add commentary to my PC videos. Everytime I record, my voice is blocked out by the game's music. Any way to raise the voice? Or do I have to use Audacity?

Lower/turn off in game music?

Or you could just fraps without your commentaries then record just your voice as you're watching it then mix the 2
