Why does everyone seem to think that because the characters look nothing like anime characters (which can hardly be surprising, i mean what do you expect) that its going to be bad?

Its not exactly hard to make a show that 8 out of 10 people watch just to see the fights. Thats all i want from a film like this. Don't really care what the people look like as long as they are smashing each other to peices and firing beams from their hands then i don't give a crap if they make the film about a rainbow...
