Why hasn't the creators of Dragonball and Z pulled out yet? Clearly the movie looks nothing like the actual cartoon.. Basically why it looks so bad is Hollywood isn't taken this seriously.. THey most likely have crap directors, script writers etc etc.. Comic book movies had the exact same problem for a time.
Early contender for worst movie of '09? I don't remember a whole lot about the show but from the looks of the trailer, it seems like they're not being very faithful to the source material.
The sound definitely didn't improve my opinion of this... it's almost like a stab to the heart, and a stab into my childhood.
I think this definitely deserves at "KILL IT WITH FIRE!!". Just no, there's too many obvious liberties made with the story and the plot and everything for it to really call itself Dragon Ball... just no.
It looked like a passable action movie until they started throwing the Character introduction screens and told you it was a dragonball movie.
They had to have done this purely as a fan service knowing full well that it would see a fiscal loss. I cant really fathom how anyone in their right mind would see this being profitable at all, in any region under any circumstances.
That movie looks sooo bad, i think only DoA looked just as bad as it. Im going to complain and write a letter. Yea they might not care but hopefully im not the only one and this movie gets canned. I mean, it still has another year before its release.

if it wasnt based on dragonball it MIGHT be decent, but damn :( Edit: Also what i cant get, why put Mai a character who shouldnt even PERTAIN!!! to the King Piccolo saga and not put in Krillin who is actually a MAIN character in the series?

So i gues the bigwigs over in Hollywood thought they could throw DBZ in the title and have some familiar names and costumes and everyone will just fall over themselves in excitement even though its crap? I mean seriously. Goku being insecure?? Flashy cars? This is looking kinda like DBZ 90210. Cripes. I swear if I'm ever a millionaire I'm making a DBZ live action movie that will be actually good and be a tribute to the series. Not just some rehashed hollywood puke. It angers me that after all these years of DBZ tryin to get made into a movie, its finally given the green light and then they do this to it. Its like Hey we're making themovie! Oh by the way I let me 9 year old daughter write the script too. sorry.
Oh and btw Id rather spend 8 bucks and watch this 4 minutes of fanboy stuff on the big screen than that piece of trash
