Why the hell did he open the door if he put the sign out.kulmiye
Probably because he doesn't want someone hanging outside his door for several minutes ringing his doorbell or knocking on the door and slipping fliers somewhere.

what is the matter with you people? how could you defend this guy? I didnt deserve his reaction at all! I wasnt even soliciting, I was advertising! I was friendly to him as i possibly could have been and i got the F-bomb dropped for no reason. The only reason why I still rung the doorbell was becasue i thought it was ok because i thought what i was doing didnt count as soliciting. His reaction was totally innapropriate. all he had to say was "no thank you" and we wouldnt have an issue. that would have at least been respectfull.
what would have happened if girl scouts came to his door selling cookies? what would you say if he gave the same reaction to them even if they are 6 year old girl scouts trying to rasie money?
jeez... last time i share an opinion on the internet...

You were soliciting, and you blatantly disrespected his sign, so you deserved no respect in return. And get over the fact that he cursed at you, you aren't a six year old girl scout, you should be able to handle the fact that somebody cursed at you. Grow up.

listen buddy, I am a human being just like you and I deserve respect just like anyone else. I've gotten over the fact he cussed at me. as a matter of fact i am used to people cussing at me like that. I think i can handle the fact that people cuss, im not a six year old girl scout. If you cant see that i am a human being that deserves respect when you obviously dont show any towards anyone yourself, then i think you are the one that needs to grow up. This is my last post on this thread, and im glad it is because im tired of dealing with people like you who, as far as i can tell, have no ethics or morals. grow up.

I thought you just said nobody speaks to you that way :P
I actually did get that response from a guy once while selling girl guide cookies :| I wasn't six, but I was young enough that a guy shouldn't be yelling at me like that.
[QUOTE="Neo-ganon"]btw, i thought (at the time) that "no solicitors" meant people selling something or talking about their religion. i merely wanted to give the dude a flier and leave.Shad0ki11
You could have easily just left the flyer without ringing the doorbell.
oh shut up....he just wanted to do what he was asked...that guy was a jerk anyway
I would have insulted him until he cried to his 3 foot, good for nothing mom

Doesn't matter id he was a jerk, his fault for knocking on his door[QUOTE="Neo-ganon"]was it absolutely neccessary to drop the F-bomb like that? someone enlighten me.cametall
Yes, because it was the only way to get what "no soliciting" means through your head.
And now because of this ordeal, you will forever remember what that phrase means.
on the contrary if someone went on my property while I had a "no soliciting" sign I would be nice...especially to a young'n...being nice about it will get it through peoples heads easier...being the S.O.B. he was, I would approach his property numerous times just to spite him for the way he spoke to me ... if he was nice about it I would never do it again...geez people don't you get it? the world is better when people are nice...if you are nice to people then those people you were nice to will be nice to others...it's a cycle...now I'm not trying to be Ghandi here...a smack on the wrist from time to time helps to put people in their place...but for something what the TC did he should have gotten a better response
