Exactly... The Simpsons has been terrible for quite a long time. Even Family Guy is dragging on, it also needs to end.

The Simpsons keep going just for the fact it's still a cash cow for Fox, although next season may be its last. As far as Family Guy, I felt it should have never came back after it was cancelled the first time, but that's just me.

This. The quality just wasn't there when compared to the first 4 seasons before it got cancelled.

Pretty much. Haven't really kept up with the show, but will watch it if it's on, and stay if it's a fairly older episode.

It's still watchable, but after almost 25 years, I hope they make next season the last. Still, I'd rather watch an okay episode of the Simpsons over any post-cancellation episode of Family Guy any day.

Personally, I don't really see the new episodes as mediocre when the old ones dealt with plots such as Bender turning into a werecar. Most of the episodes had stupid as hell plots, but were extraordinarily funny, new ones included.

I don't really know how I feel about the show being cancelled. It's a shame, but it would be nice to look back at a show and say I personally love EVERY episode.

Better canceled early than going into a steep decline frankly. Although the show has already been cancelled once, maybe it'll pop up somewhere else.

A good way to describe it. I still enjoy it, but I'd hate to see it go down the family guy road, or even worse, the simpsons.

I never see it on tv ever..the show used to be awesome and because I never see it on tv when channel hopping, I didn't know they were still making it.

The new seasons were okay, but I'm glad they're ending it before it goes any further down hill.

Also, this thread is now a memorial for our favorite Futurama moments.

I could never stand a full episode of Futurama.
