Watch what your eating. Use a plan like fitday.com. If you're serious about gaining weight consume a lot of protein, low fat, and low carbs. If you're lifting a lot of weights, [I recommend http://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5-beginner-strength-training-program/] eat around 3,000 calories a day. You'll gain some fat a long with the muscle but you can easily cut the fat by using a HIIT routine [google it]. Also, bodybuilding.com has some good articles on bulking.

I've had problems with that, I do again now, but excercising gets you to eat even more and gives your body a reason to put on some tissue.
