Have any of you guys tried this program? I just downloaded it and its pretty cool. I made one game and now I am currently trying to make a pong-like game. Heres the site>http://www.gamemaker.nl/  Tell me if you are able to get a good game working. It's actually harder than I thought it would be.

I tend to stay away from those kind of programs. It makes me look very noobish.

Its actually a program for beginners. They even have tutorials you can use to make your first game. That's what I used. lol.

Oh wow. Can you build an RPG with it? Maybe something SNESish? If so, I'm totally going to be a master at that program O_O

I can use the Python programming language to program my own game too, and I have plenty more flexibility. I could use C++ but that's hard as hell if I want to make a GUI game with complete AI and stuff.

I know if i started using one of those, i would really start slacking on doing real programming, and i'm lazy enough as it is.

Yeah. There's some Mario kinda game. Just go to the tutorial section and it gives you examples of different games you can make.

You use it by using your brain power. But I don't think anyone who really thinks game maker is something decent for making games should code C++.

You use it by using your brain power. But I don't think anyone who really thinks game maker is something decent for making games should code C++.

Hey I never said game maker was something serious. It was just for fun. I'm not trying to make a REAL game. I'm just fooling around with it and having fun. Is that C++ program free?
