Yep I agree with this, no reason to over due it! Here's what the average "gauger" looks like.I think they look great if you can pull them off. Look WAY better than the stupid, overdone diamond/studs.
And to the people posting those pictures of the extreme gauges, thats the equivalent of posting someone with a full face tattoo and having people think thats what all tattoos look like.

I like those tattoo on your arms. The artist must've been skilled. On topic: if it is a small gauge then I dont really care. 
Ear rings on ears is the only appropriate place for piercings, imo. 
Disgusting.Why? Whats the difference? Earrings are just socially excepted and popular but initially they were rebellious. A mark to show that you weren't like the rest. I can see why someone wouldn't want them, or doesn't really like the way the look but "disgusting" and saying you would never date someone with them, I don't get that. You should praise things that are different, not be afraid of them.
