Seriously, for one man (and most likely his entire group of mongols) to kill 40 mil and for a full scale war (WW2) across the globe to get only 66 mil is.....amazing. In a bad way of course, but WW2 was a full scale war and it didnt do THAT much more in deaths....interestingly enough.

Reminds me of a story. Genghis Khan, being a patient man and all, sent convoys to a kingdom in the middle east to make peace but the kingdom attacked and slaughtered the convoy. Second time, Genghis Khan does the same thing, thinking it was just a misunderstanding, and that middle eastern kingdom does the same thing. Old news. Genghis Khan totally was a bad-ass, but then again he didn't have the whole world against him at once, like Hitler did. He created, shaped and formed the second most powerful and second largest empire of all time (Behind the British Empire, on both accounts). Shame it only lasted a 100 years or so.
