I was excited right up until it was pointed out to me that it was still made by Sony, and the fact that it was a reboot wasn't because Marvel got the rights back. I'm a lot less excited now, though I'll probably still go see it in theaters.
I like Spiderman, and the new movie actually looks good. I'll definitely watch it, but most likely on DVD or BR. I don't watch many movies in theatres, and I have The Avengers and TDKR on higher priority if I do. :P
I will be seeing this film, as I rate Spiderman much much higher than Batman. I find Spiderman more relate-able as a normal everyday guy with normal everyday problems like paying the bills and doing chores as opposed to a bored Billionaire thrill-seeker with waaaay too much time on his hands.

I'm glad that they're basing it much closer to the comics, like that his love interest in Gwen Stacey and he's a freshman in high school. It'll be a fun film to watch as I was hoping that the Lizard would be in Spider-Man 2 and 3, but he wasn't. They never even had the courtesy to explain why Connors was missing his arm (It took me a while to even notice it was missing).
