[QUOTE="worlock77"][QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"]Turned away a biracial person? That's pretty fvcked up. gamerguru100
LOL "One Drop" Rule.
LOL, indeed. The one drop rule is stupid. A half-black half-white person is biracial, not black, like most people seem to think. Most people think it because states have legally created and maintain these racial designations for generations. People just don't happen to think this way.So they aren't racist, they're just incredibly stupid? That doesn't make them look much better.they're not racist, they just want to keep their traditional values and way of life

I don't think the proms are sponsored by the schools. Private parties pretty much.[QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"][QUOTE="Wasdie"]
How has this been legal!?
I was seriously expecting an Onion article when I saw the topic.Â
Wasdie
Yeah they are. Most school events are.Â
No the school ended prom when they integrated. The parents put on private dances for the kids. That's what the article says.
It's really sad/disgusting that something like this could still be going on. But I'd imagine that even in the South, these cases are the exception not the rule.

Sad that stuff like this still happens.Â

I bet you there are some schools that are still straight up segregated in general.
There are. You could have the normal school, and a "Scholars Academy" where for some reason all the white kids were. That's how it was in my school.#Georgia
They might start letting women vote/get jobs and even let in the gheys!Â
Watched Django Unchained a while ago and I just shook my head in disbelief. Then I look at the current state of affairs and I'm just baffled. The (real) South is a constant reminder of the United State's shame and the thought of even visiting such a place just goes right out the window.Â
Edit: obviously Django is not historically accurate, just using a humorous example.Â
Hahaha yep. Same one[QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"][QUOTE="dominer"]
I think we saw the same doc. Although I didn't see it in class. Was it by chance narrated by Morgan Freeman?
Either way this is ridiculous. I'm not sure if that was even legal.

Oh hey, a JoJo fan.
do you have an account on the english JBA community forum by any chance?
Nope. Never even knew one existed.Small towns basically get to do whatever the fvck they want.
They showed us crazy abuse by Police in smaller towns when I was going through the academy. Nobody stopped it, or even gave it a second glance.
But anybody who says this is how the entirety of the south acts is just as wrong.
This was also happening in Mississippi a few years back until Morgan Freeman stopped it. Didn't know that there was a school in Georgia that did this as well.

........Yeah your completely right guys! Racism doesn't exist anymore in the United States!Â
