In regards to the "only" a theory argument; I would just like to say the most tested, most reliable parts of science are the theories. Strictly speaking the dismissible "only" opinions should be called hypotheses, not theories. Theories are coherent logical structures that encompass a broad and diverse range of observations; they have been up for disproof and replacement for a long time and have survived all the alternative theories that have been proposed to explain the same data.

No scientific theory can ever be considered true simply because the universe could have unexpected trick up its sleeve (and not many scientists are arrogant enough to proclaim themselves infallible); but it is foolish and ignorant to dismiss a theory merely because it is a theory.

Also until you understand how incredibly complex some of the mathematical work that goes into theoretical physics I suggest you stop trying to argue the origin of the universe. I think thats what annoys me most about religion, it makes idiots believe they have all the answers.

Look at the worlds tallest man thread, with the chinesse man, there are men like that all over the world of different races who also have the same highte, and it stats in the bible that since this is something that wasn't meant to be, that they should only live half their lives, (since only half the spirit of man is with them) and if you notice in todays world, those tall giants only live to their twentiesDragoon111

Did you know that in the Bible Genisis Chapter 6:4 stats that giants roamed the earth before and after the flood and that they were known as Nephilim, and these giants were formed because the Sons of God(fallen angels) had implanted their seeds in the daughters of men(Daughters of men, God created one man and one woman, thus the name daughters of men, because they are the decendants of what God had created) Does any one have any other knowledged about this they would like to dicuss.

The bible also claims Nephilim also had extra fingers, toes, and rows of teeth. All of which are very common genetic deformities mind you. Those conditions still exist today, as does giantism. The story of the Nephilim is merely the way people attempted to explain these genetic defects. I find it very funny that so many Christians are quick to write off macroevolution on the basis that organisms never have big changes, but yet when they see proof (such as these mutations) they say "oh, uh...their parents mated with angels".
