Torture is NEVER okay. Even seeing pictures of tortured bodies doesn't do justice to the depravity of it. If you think its okay, you sir, are a degenerate animal and need to be locked up just as badly as the murderer does.
Execute him if he lives where its applicable, life imprisonment where not applicable. Life imprisonment is torture enough. If for any reason I was sentenced to life in prison I would rather kill myself and do a service to the country holding me, at least they won't have to spend taxes feeding my worthless ass.

you were fine until you said execute him, that completely invalidated your point and made you look like an idiot. So you are saying its ok to TAKE SOMEONE'S LIFE but its not ok to torture him? Im sure i would rather endure pain than DIE in most cases. now i agree that this crazy bastard should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but you cant call someone childish for wanting to torture a murderer like this, then turn around and say "ok lets just execute him".
The death penalty is not the same as torture.
Execution can be quick and painless. It can happen in your sleep, you don't even realise whats happening.
Torture can last as long as the torturer wants it to. It can last years, decades as it frequently has done in human history. It is degrading and depraved.
Torture and Execution are NOTHING alike, don't EVEN START to compare them. Of course most people would endure pain rather than die, but when the torture is going to LEAD TO DEATH like everyone here WANTS IT TO, what is the POINT? Can you NOT SEE THAT?

I don't believe in killing another person unless a situation absolutly become necessary. However, I have no problem with torture. I'm just saying torture the bastard then put him in jail. Instead of wasting everyone tax money keeping all these people (some who are innocent) in jail waiting on a court trial. Oh, and to all these people consistantly trying to say were not animals, seriusly stop trying to act as if we are no different, every animal has there own way to survive we just happened to be given extreme intelligence instead of strenght, stealth, etc. Personally I think that "other" animals have found the easy way of life. (well except the ones who get eaten) but thats similiar to us living a life of poverty or being well off.
Oh and the human mind is a strange thing if the person has enough will they can actually take torture better than those who have a high respondence to pain. Then again when I think about it if you torture a person who actually likes that stuff then there is nothing really there to stop him/her from doing it again know is there.
I just thought of something though take a branding iron that says what crime they've commited and brand it right there on their forhead. Then again some may actually take pride in that...
