That's tragic. But at least Obama's from Chicago.

Let's not turn this into an anti-gun thing. I mean, obviously the killer would have found a way to accidentally kill this unintended target with a knife or baseball bat from across the park, with or without a weapon designed to near-instantly kill multiple people at long ranges. Duh.PlaneforgerYou do realize guns are pretty much illegal in Chicago right They have the strictest gun policy in the nation? Most gun crime is done will illegal guns that will exist whether or not we have the right to have guns.
[QUOTE="xdude85"]Just another day in Chicago.MrPralineThat's cold bro. Agreed, but Chicago is infested with gangs, so his post his true That being said... RIP, poor girl. :(

[QUOTE="Bucked20"]Wow ABC just touched on her shooting for 5 seconds, they don't give a sh*t which is a shame MrPralineStories are only aired on the mainstream media for 2 reasons. Either it's good ratings (sensation), or it's to push an agenda. Some of them, like Sandy Hook, cover both effectively. A dead kid in the ghetto, not my thoughts, falls beyond both and thus airing the story is not economically responsible for these corporations, sadly. F*ck the media and everyone who runs it. Bunch of f*cking trash is what they are.

Uh, yeah, we know he's been sarcastic, and also strawmanning a political position to try to discredit a whole group. No need for such nonsense after such sad news. Thus, the "". Probably.

She's be just anther statistic if she didn't sing for the inauguration. The deaths of individuals, kids included, only have value insofar as they serve the political class.RhazaknaYup. I live near Detroit so I hear every single day of somebody being murdered on the news. None of these get national headlines or even more than a 1 minute segment on the local news station.

[QUOTE="Zeviander"]Doesn't Illinois have strict gun control laws? the_bi99man
Yes but I doubt the gang members were using a firearm registered to their name anyway. If you plan to shoot people it's best to use a gun the police can't track.
Exactly.
And unregistered guns wouldn't exist if there was a gun ban cause we know those guns the police can't track will be turned in asap.

Criminals don't obey gun laws.
Unfortunately, idiots like Obama don't understand that.

Also - the news media never reports when people are stabbed to death. For instance . . .

Chicago is fine. There are certain neighborhoods that are rough, but the city as a whole is alright.

You're very hurtful.:([QUOTE="mingmao3046"]Good to see Chicago's anti gun laws are working out real wellDiablo-BNY has the strictest gun laws and we have the lowest murder rate per capita nationally. It does not. There are plenty of cities in the US with worse homicide rates.
The weather effects more people cause it affects everybody. Are you saying we should spend more time on weather then trying to reduce the deaths from gun violence?Diablo-BNot necessarily, but the weather very well can be much more newsworthy than a murder. I think it's fair to say that in many cases a blizzard or a hurricane probably deserves more attention than the murder of a person. In any case, you seem to be under the mistaken impression that reducing the deaths from gun violence is even why these stories get reported at all. This stuff gets reported for ratings. Some stories draw in lots of readers because it affects many people (a hurricane, a flood), some stories don't really affect most people but they're popular anyway for other reasons (the death of Michael Jackson). Most deaths, murders or not, aren't going to fit in either of those categories. Most murders aren't going to have much interest to readers except on a local level, and most murders aren't going to directly affect more than a few dozen people.
You wanna see an American on public assistance being jailed in Great Britain?Gangs are domestic terrorist cells.
How come they don't get treated in the same manner as those camel jokeys in Asia?
It would be nice to see some of these welfare babies get locked up in GB instead of our public prisons.
