It was then discovered the girls lied, and he was innocent, but he was taken to another jail for tax evasion before he could be released. Um...read? :?. I don't know.

Doesn't matter what the case was....a contempt of court charge IS criminal.

Contempt of court may be a criminal charge, but that still doesn't change the fact that you can't charge someone with contempt simply because they don't waive their right to due process. If someone sues you, then you have the right to have your day in court and present your case. Even IF the charges were legitimate, which they weren't, there is absolutely NO excuse for the kind of treatment he received in jail.

I must say then, I'm surprised you don't like Tool. They use a lot of the techniques those guys used to write their best symphonies...philosophical mathematics (like sacred geometry), the golden ratio (fibonacci variations)...they also use zillions of different polyrhythmic techniques, as well as chord progression, note placement, and harmony techniques used by those guys.
