Global warming is in fact happening, that's not being debated. Scientist have more than enough evidecne to show tempetures changing. What is debated is what's causing it, and jumping on the idea that humans did everything is ignorance that I will not tolerate from hippy extremeist.

The only debate thats happening is how long it will take for significant damage to be done.

Your city isn't going to turn into the lost city of atlantis from this over yours or your children's childrens life times. United States and China are also a lot bigger and more industrialized than Britian. And what do you mean "haven't taken steps to reduce our own carbon footprint". I'm not the one to tell you what's being done exactly, but I'm certain those scientist in the feild aren't just sitting on their ass doing nothing all day.

See, thats the whole problem, you people think you dont have to do anything and leave it to scientists who you assume will just fix the problem and it will go away without any effort at all on your part.

all i know is that the sun is heating up and al g ore never mentioned that in his movie. at least i dont remember him saying that. we dont know whats causing it, but we know the sun is heating up. sounds like theres some kind of answer hidden somewhere.

i still think we should switch fuels though, just because i hate smog.

Global warming is probably just being used to take our mind off of the war. Anyways, more carbon dioxide is good because plants need it to grow and created oxygen.

recycling is bs, no it's not. Because it's the right thing, right things aren't always the cheapest you know...

I agree that global warming is real...but I don't however believe that we are the major cause of it. Remember the Sun is a giant ball of burning gas, it has times when it burns hotter than other times, we are possibly just going through a warm period.

Another thing that annoys me is when people say we are "killing" the planet. That is utter nonsense, we may be killing ourselves and contributing to other species' demise but the planet...no, nothing we can do will "kill" it. In fact even if we had a full scale nuclear war and all humans on Earth died. Some creatures would survive, like the cockroach and eventually it would evolve over millions of years. I think this because all other global disasters have ended in evolutionairy jump, for example a meteor several kilometres wide crashed 65 million years ago with the force of several million nuclear weapons, killing off many of the dominant animal type at the time, the dinosaurs. (For anyone who might say "How can one meteor kill off all the dinosaurs, it was the dust cloud afterwards preventing plants from growing that caused most deaths with animals dieing of starvation more than anything else)

Anyway I got distracted...so no global warming isn't a myth, just no one knows what is truely causeing it.
