Yeah the climate is changing, but we aren't causing it. well we do have an effect, but it's really really little.mark4091how? the natural world emits24 times as much CO2 as we do.

uhh I said that, we do put co2 up just not a large amount. but it is changing the earth changes all the time.
It doesn't matter if the CO2 we emit has little effect on the environment. It still effects it in a negative way and it is BAD for the planet.helium_flashthe fact of the matter is if we just stopped emitting CO2, we woulden't see any effects whatsoever

We should get rid of CO2 all together, stop breathing everyone!!!

yes then with that logic, before human, before all weve done, before we destroyed the millions of trees that help absorb CO2, the CO2 levels would be huge, but then whyis it now, when humans apareared on earth is the level higher than ever before.
how? the natural world emits24 times as much CO2 as we do.[QUOTE="mig_killer2"][QUOTE="mark4091"]Yeah the climate is changing, but we aren't causing it. well we do have an effect, but it's really really little.SaintLeonidas

The CO2 levels are nothing like they were before life was possible on this planet. When the Earth was born, there was NOTHING but CO2. That is true and then the first algae begin to produce oxygen from CO2 and they create an equilibrium that allowed that life organisms spread all over the planet. We are now destroying this equilibrium not only by the huge CO2 emissions but mainly because we are destroying the forests for economical purposesthis is why we need to stop this whole "stop global warming" crap. the fact of the matter is that climate change is caused by fluctuations of solar activity. It is not linked to CO2 levels.
In fact, CO2 emissions usuallycome after atmospheric warming
remember, melting polar ice caps wont raise the sea level. this can be proven by a simple home experiment. take a clear pitcher. fill it with water, then put some ice cubes in it. mark the water level of when you put the ice cubes in it. come back after the ice has fallen. notice how the water level has fallen
Ice caps are the hugest reservoirs of sweet water on the planet in a time where wars are determinate by the potable water problem the melting of the ice caps may be catastrophic to mankindthis is why we need to stop this whole "stop global warming" crap. the fact of the matter is that climate change is caused by fluctuations of solar activity. The CO2 levels are nothing like they were before life was possible on this planet. When the Earth was born, there was NOTHING but CO2.theyve looked back 600,000 years. Yes during the 600,000 years before humans there was a rise and fall of co2 every so often, and there was massive amounts of melting then cooling. But then if you look at were human enter the pciture the co2 levels sky rocket, they raise 3 time more than any time before us. The addition of humans has caused a massive change to the natural changes of earth.
this is why we need to stop this whole "stop global warming" crap. the fact of the matter is that climate change is caused by fluctuations of solar activity. It is not linked to CO2 levels.

that makes sense when talking about the ice in the water, not the large amount that sticks out and the huge amount that is on land.
Global Warming isn't a myth. It has happend to the earth before. THe earth goes in stages.vendettared468
yes it does, the level has always gone up and down, but that natural stage never included the addition of humans, and now that we are in the mix, the natural stages have changed and now the lvl is higher then its been in 600,000 years.
It been cold and rainy where i live, everyday for weeks. Its normally sunny this time of year. Global warming my ass >_>bungie091Global warming causes an increase in the number and the intensity of storms buddy, which means.....more rain.

that guy is awesome. Made an awesome point. Someone split down the middle who relizes that it could or couldnt not happen but the fact is we cant take any choices when taking about the lives of humans. Im gonna make my own chart. thnxs for that vid.

im not saying we are not causeing it. Im just saying that it isn't a myth.

I agree that we are aiding and abedding somewhat.
The argument about cutting down trees is silly. most of the co2 to o2 conversion happens by bacteria in the sea.
global warming is caused by solar activity, not CO2 emissions
of all the CO2 that is added into the air, roughly 95% of it comes from natural sources
here's another link: http://www.ncpa.org/ba/ba230.html

"some random site on the internet =/= absolute athority."
You gotta learn to take things you find on random sites with a grain of salt buddy.
again, you need to trust facts. the NCPA presented facts heremig_killer2
this site not always creditable but hey the funding is interetsing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Center_for_Policy_Analysis corporations and Exxonmobli???
you know what really surprises me? Its that so many people on this forum dont believe the two sources I gave, but so many people believed the zeitgeist movie thread made by evolving jesusmig_killer2
two non creditibal sources by a site founded by corporations and exxonmobil isnt enough proof to go againes the mutiple books, magazines and creditbal site that can be found supporting it.

they are just presenting the facts pointed out by the scientists in the global warming swindle movie, these are facts, like how co2 went down in the post war boom when by gores logic it should have gone up.

again, you need to trust facts. the NCPA presented facts heremig_killer2It didn't even site it's sources, it's just making wild claims and backing them up. Like I said, grain of salt.
how come everyone trusted the zeitgeist movie, but no one trusts me
OMG, Braveheart is on the history channel!!!!:o
Like the other site, this makes wild claims without providing any evidence to back up what it's saying.here is a link to friends of science, a non-profit canadian organization founded in canada

You really need to learn to take random websites with a grain of salt, the "evidence" they provide is often non-existent, incredibly biast, or just flat out lies.

Signed by whom?People need to understand the consequences of ignoring global warming. If it doesn't exist, worst case scenario is that we develop technologies based upon alternative and clean fuels, something that needs to be done anyways. But if you're wrong, and it is ignored, we'll see drastically stronger storms, greater in number, hundreds millions of people displaced, large lots of land used by humans under water, wars would break out fighting over resources that had been made scarce by the environmental damages, ect.
If we look at it for what it really is, I don't see how we can arrive at anything other than the need to recognize the threat of global warming.
yeah I watched that movie, but answer this question. If global warming is caused by CO2, and CO2 is evenly dispersed throughout the atmosphere, why then is the troposphere warming up, and the stratosphere cooling? That is the model that the IPCC used isn't it?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VywMJFyTR0I
You really need to see this video mig.

Oh for christ sake, the firstwebsite you are pulled your so called "evidence" from is an organization of drivers. OBVIOUSLY they aren't going to acknowledge Global Warming's human causes.
Sorry, but Proffesional Scientific Reports verified by scientific community>>>>>>>>>> Random drivers union pretending to be experts on something they aren't.
global warming is caused by solar activity,
The temperature of the solar system has been on the rise, but Earth's temperature rise has been FAR above the trend in the rest of SOL.
