I remember them trying to do that a few years ago. No more GTO's, Sunfires, or Grad Prix's (though they're ugly as hell now). :(
I think if they're going to narrow it down to four "core brands," killing off Pontiac over Buick was a very poor decision.Dark__Link
If they got rid of Buick, what would old people drive?
i dont think its really a big deal. So they will call the Solstice a Chevy Solstice instead of Pontiac or they will just make the Camaro instead of a Firebird AND a Camaro that are basically the same car. The G8 can just become the new Impalla, and the Grand Prix is done with production anyways as far as i know. I think GM will just eventually call EVERY car a GM. Why waste time puting different Badges for cars that say Pontiac, Chevy, Buick, Oldsmobile (already canned years ago), Saturn, and Hummer.Look atToyota. They only have Toyota in most countries. Only in the USA do they have the Lexusbrand.I already heard they were going to eventually cancelPontiac in 2005 when i bought my car (kinda swayed me to NOT get a G6 or a Grand Prix).

Although a majority of Lexus sales are in the U.S. they are sold in many other countries around the world, Including Japan, Britain, Russia, China, Russia, Malasiya, Indonesia, and the Philipenes. Their plan is to be in 76 countries by 2009.

Just import the originals from Aus, they're just re-badged Holdens. The may be right-hand drive but they don't have that ridiculous grill.

:|... A Scion!?
Honestly. I didn't even KNOW they were still making cars under that name.duxupPlease tell me you're kidding.
Camaro and Firebird are the same, but not completely. The Firebird has always been the faster of the 2, the reason is because Chevy has the Corvette. Chevy didn't want the Camaro to rival the Corvette in performance, cause then no one would want to by the Corvette if they can get the same car for cheaper. So the Carao always had performance restrictions. But Pontiac never did cause they never had a high end performance vehicle. So the Firebird was also the high performance vehicle for Pontiac.i dont think its really a big deal. So they will call the Solstice a Chevy Solstice instead of Pontiac or they will just make the Camaro instead of a Firebird AND a Camaro that are basically the same car.
