God, I hate my parents. How are your's?

How distant can you be from your children? The other day my mother asked me if I would like to meet my half-sister. I in turn asked what half-sister, from who? She said its the doughter of her brother. I DID NOT KNOW THAT MY MOTHER HAS OR HAD A BROTHER :?. I don't know anything about them!

My parents arethe most boring people I know. They have zero hobbies, they dislike TV and movies, don't listen to any music,they never go out and only my mother has a few friends. I have NEVER seen my father having anything to do with a friend. Though I don't lack in anything of material value, it does not make up for all of the "punishments" I recieved throughout the years. Who lands a blow on his son's head for not wanting to go athletic training because of the severity of the physical burden and bullying there? Why did my mother spill soup all over me when I did not want to eat it because it literally made me want to vomit(which I did afterwards)? And much more. Now that I waste all my time in front of the computer, being friendless as they are, I think that they did a pretty bad job at raising me.

Step sister = half sister. Cousin = the son/daughter of your mom/dad's brother/sister.Setsa

step sister is not a half sister. Maybe im wrong though. Step is when one of your parents re-marry and the other person has a kid. Half is when one of your biological parents has a kid from someone other then your other biological parent.

For me, my parents are so cool. My mom is practically my best friend.

My dad is out-of-state at the moment, however, I talk to him on weekly basis and when I was with him beforehand, my relationship with him as adult is probably better than it ever was as a child. In general, I would say my relathionship with him is anywhere from very good-to-great.

My mom is still coming off being sick at the moment, however, getting better. In general, as of late, I have been talking to her, as well, on weekly basis (almost daily for the past week) and in all likely hood, should be heading to her place for Christmas dinner tomorrow night. My relationship with her is decent, however, I should probably be spending bit more time with her, in all honesty.

Mine are not that bad although they still piss me off from time to time.

I sometimes think about dropping out of college, getting a job at Fry's or some grocery store and move into the cheapest apartment I can find. Just so I don't have to put up with it.

No offence, but that's bad parenting. No matter how bad she wants to smoke some. She should never let you know it's cool to do it. Doing that, makes you feel free to do it.

Mine are fine :) Their pretty much always reasonnable, I can always talk and discuss things with them and they always try to help me when something goes wrong.

My parents get along with me if you take out the fact that they hate me, they hate my grades, they adore my sister, they hit me, they shout at me, they blame me, they want to kick me out and that they think I'm useless.Nude_Dude

No offence, but that's bad parenting. No matter how bad she wants to smoke some. She should never let you know it's cool to do it. Doing that, makes you feel free to do it.

She has never tried it before or after that time so no she isn't some addict lol. And i'm old enough now just like i was then to know right from wrong, to know when to stop and when to say no etc. So i would disagree, it isn't bad parenting not when her son already knows right from wrong.

Love both my parents, they both have been there for me to make going thru these health problems alot easyier.

Sure it was a differnt story when i was younger, especially with my dad, but things have changed and im really close with them now.
