I would have been more interested if it was called "Christianity is wrong" rather than "God is imaginary." If I don't believe everything in the bible I can't believe in a higher power now?

I looked at the titles....judging from the titles it is clear that the person that wrote this has no understanding of theology nor an understanding of historical norms...both of which are important in a biblical study.
I'm not exactly sure how to describe my religious beliefs. Kinda like agnostic except I definitely believe in some form of higher consciousness, I just don't accept any religion's definition of "god"pzco

Some of the passages that are referenced are good, in that I'd use them in a debate agianst Christians but yes a lot are taken out of context and most of them are from the Old Testament which doesn't hold quite as much relevance.

A knowledgeabletheologian could refute those arguments...though beliefs whether for or against are still not able to be absolutely proven. Science can't even do that. I find OT's obsession with bashing beliefs rather a strange thing.

The author's tone, especially in videos, makes me think that he does have understanding and is being a demagogue.

Wow i just watched that video that came with that link and i have to say that you made my day. i ccan't stop smiling. that was one of the funniest things i watched in a long time. The person who came up with that i seriously think is a third grader or something. If your an athiest i think u should start a petition against it for making u look bad and stupid. because i know a lot of athiests who aren't that but some people might get the wrong idea.

You can't really judge it from the titles....and the author obviously understands what he's talking about. It doesn't really disprove God though, it just bashes Christianity with a few valid points.

I don't think that can be done. If it can, you should start a petition against the Phelps family and their websites.
Not a very good site at all, and I thought most of the articles were written kind of poorly.
One cannot PROVE God wrong simply because he/she/it is unfalsifiable. However, that in and of itself is enought to warrant belief in such a thing horrendously stupid. Why have faith in a being with no proof and one that cannot be proven to exist.
We might as well be worshipping Zeus, atleast he was badass.

Yes it does. Everytime someone posts "God exists" or "god doesn't exist", there is always a large war that always ends up ugly with no winners. We could sit here all day bringing up point and counterpoint over and over again the whole day while accomplishing nothing.

Lately that has happened, but a major reason is the recent wave of new posters. Many of my favorite debaters have been banned, quit GS all together, or don't post in these threads anymore. You have been here, what 4 months? How would you know that these debates are always like how you describe?
