Going into high school

i say have fun. forget what these guys are saying. you only live one time and if all you do is study and stress about grades you will wish you had more good times. meet girls, do drugs, get drunk and then get into fights.

fail a few classes, piss off teachers, vandilize the school.. you will just become a sheep in a 9-5 grind eventually anyway so live happy now.

High school is NOT important in your life other than to develope your social skills and to help identify with yourself. Really highschool is just a fun 4 years, that doesnt mean you get to slack off but you can if you want to . Just do whatever you want and let school and life take its toll. Do what you want, learn from your mistakes, and take responsibility for your actions.

Saves you a few bucks right then, but ultimately you will lose in the long run. Actually I shouldn't say that. My dad is probably the most sucessful person I know and went to a community college, but he even admitted himself that it almost costed him big time.

But, the popularity thing is a joke dude, since when highschool is over, the hundreds of dollars you spent on the clothes to get you popular will become useless.

EDIT: AND STAY AWAY FROM GANGS! Trust me! they are the worst thing, even if they seem cool, stay away from them. because after a week of being in it, you deeply regret the choice you made to join it. Just dont join a gang.

If you want to go to community college (or go to CC then transfer to a university), don't worry about doing anything. As long as you do homework (you don't even have to do it correctly) you can easily pass all of high school. If you want to go to a regular college or university, work hard and get A's, especially now since the required GPA is going up and up every year. You'll want to do this right away, because whatever you do the first year becomes habit. Also if you want to get laid in high school rather than college, talk to girls in your league, because chances are girls in your league aren't moronic slut cheerleaders, and they'll probably be shy, so just talk to someone who shares your interests. If you're worried about being shot down, don't be, the very first month you leave high school everything that happened during it becomes useless and stupid.

Oh and also, I would wait until you're at least 17 to try marijuana. It seems that people who start younger are insanely stupid by their senior year. I'm guessing it has to do with screwing with an undeveloped mind. If you start at 18 it would be even better. Also, I wouldn't start drinking until you're 16.

And PPS: When you try marijuana don't settle for BS pot, buy good stuff. Ask for white widow (although most drug dealers in high school have no idea what they have, it's worth asking anyway). And don't be an idiot and drive with it, do it somewhere safe where you have NOresponsibilitiesfor about four hours. Same goes for drinking, use your head, make sure you're staying the night where you're drinking or you have a sober ride.

Find a balance that works for you. Im in all AP and Honors classes, but once in a while its good to just hang out, and relax with your buddies. Its okay to drink to have fun, but be responsible.

By junior year youll be a lot more comfortable with yourself and everyone, and youll be a master of high school.

Also, get laid. Its good practice.

Forget what anyone tries to tell you about high school, high school is a big lie, it doesnt do anything for your future, just a stupid requirement that everyone has to go through. Grades don't really matter, it is how you apply yourself at a job that does matter.SegaGenesisfan

IN short College matters HS really doesn't. It's just a stepping stone to the place that really matters which is college. But in order to get to theplacethat matters you need good grades.

don't be one of those loser people who just sit there smoke pot and wine about how they have the worst lives in the world. They talk **** about everyone else for conforming and not being different when all of these guys conform to their styles and all dress the same. These guys disappear entirely once you get to college. IDK why maybe they just don't care. Don't be like that. Care about your grades. You will need them to enter college Remember HS is just a stepping stone to college. Which is what really matter.

If you want to dress cool wear Abercrombie and Hollisters. That's the style.

Don't get a girl pregnant. That's about it. I mean, Fresham year (for me) was no different than 8th Grade, except for the baby (but that wasn't till Junior year summer).

Do the work you're given, but don't let it take over your life. I found that I didn't really need to study for a class unless it was AP/college level, but everybody is different.

If sports are your thing, get involved in one or two. There are always random clubs that aren't widely publicized, so find out about those and join ones that interest you.

Socially, do your best to expand. If you want to date, don't feel crushed if you get rejected a few times, but be reasonable with your options too. Try to hang out with girls and guys equally. Also, if you're into "that sort of thing," watch out for diseases. You know what I mean.

I opted to avoid the drugs and drinking scene and still managed to have a great time, but if you're planning on trying something like that at some point in life, I suppose now would be the time. Just be sure you're doing it with real friends or people you trust.

Get muscular and do it NOW, you'll thank me when you get to college, when you realise that you wish you were tank. It takes years to turn into a man-beast, unless you are a natural born man-beast in which case, I am afraid of you.

Oh, and remember this, getting someone preggo is like winning the fail lottery, don't do it.

For the love of god just go to school, pay attention and get good grades. Its not that hard unless you are mentally challenged. It takes very minimal effort to ace ALL of high school and the return on your investment pays off 100 fold later in life.

Friends? Forget em. You'll never see these people again after HS so its pointless to bother.

Instead of spending time making friendships that wont last and hanging out with fake people who lack an identity go get a job. Work enough hours to pay for your own costs, to buy nice things when you want them and to save for later on when you will be broke all the time.

If your parents cant afford to send you to college and you fail to obtain some form of help from the government you are pretty much screwed for life and will amount to nothing but a mediocre statistic in a sea of mediocre statistics.

AVOID DRAMA. Seriously, it gets you nowhere.

Study. All years count.

Be open and friendly, friends make high school better especially meeting all kinds of new people.

You'll change a lot, be prepared.

Be careful who you hang out with.
