Because he...
Since 9/11, Bush has taken unprecedented steps to protect not only America, but the whole of the world, using his power to make terrorism both illegal and impossible. Under his administration, violence resulting from terrorism has decreased. The President is confident that by helping build free and prosperous societies, America and its friends and allies will succeed in making every single country on Earth more secure and peaceful. This is known as the "Domino Theory", a model whereby peace and freedom cascade, crashing across the land into a peaceful scattering of countries, much like fallen dominoes.
I didn't know that people like this still exist...
Do you people not understand that democracy and freedom should NEVER under any circumstances be forced on a population.....It will always fail....
Haha "forced on a population"?
Wow thats the dumbest thing I've read all day lmao
You think those poor Iraqi people would rather be living under Sadam Husein's dictatorship than in a democracy?
I mean did you not see that hoard of iraqi civilians rip down Sadam Husein's statue? Do you have any idea how badly treated the iraqi people were under sadam huseins regime? Do you have any idea how hated Sadam Husein was by the iraqi people? You have NO CLUE AT ALL. This democracy we're helping the iraqi's put in is not being "forced" at all. Seriously, who tells you this BS?
You really have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUEwhat is actually going on in Iraq and what we're actually doing over there, so don't even post in this thread any more please....
Infact, besides all the negative numbers posted in this thread, what you said right there was one of the dumbest things I've read or heard all week.
The news media is REALLY brainwashing you aren't they....wow. I mean it's not just you but more than 90% of the people who posted in this thread, don't know WTH they're talking about. Which is understandable considering the fact that the majority of the people who post on gamespot are teenagers in high school who still look at everything from the surface.
Sorry, sorry , sorry....
but I can't take you seriously at all mate...You're not accomplishing anything by ranting on about how clueless I am...
You obviously know nothing about how a society works....so there's no point in telling you how wrong you are...but I'll tell you this... Democracy is something that should be implemented by the nation's own people, not a foreign power.
Regarding my post....
It was two lines.....and an almost exact quote from a certain John Locke...So I can't be that stupid

Wow everytime I read any of your posts in this thread, I'm just baffled at how clueless you are about what the united states is doing in iraq and what is actually going on down there in iraq or anywhere around the world for that matter.
I mean wow, you say one stupid thing after another... how can the people of a country that is being run by a dictatorship, implement it's own democracy? Haha and you're telling me that I don't know how a society works? Can you explain to me how the Iraqi people could implement their own democracy without anyone elses help? Can you explain to me how the people of Iraq, can single handedly over throw Saddam Huseins dictatorship/regime? Please enlighten me. I'd love to know how it's done. It's pretty impossible to implement a democracy in your own country when you have a terrorist/dictator running the country in the first place....Think about it buddy. You've been pretty much talking out of your *** this whole entire time. Translation: You have absolutely no clue what you're saying.
But hey don't worry about it. You're not the only stupid person in this world, (let alone this message board), so don't feel like you're alone. :|

This is probably the most true thing I have ever read in OT. You are right on.

Hey buddy,
Can you have some decency, and show some respect to people. Judging on how you treat people on this board, and judging on how you post. I for one can tell that you have no respect for people and you obviously don't know whats going on in the world. Its ok though, because everyday more and more people understand whats going on.
Your acting as if Democracy is the best thing that ever happen in the world and everyone should follow it. We put ourselves in the middle of a civil war, to take control of oil. Thats basically it. You think this war has been going on since 2003? Naw, its been going on for so many years and all of a sudden a C- Student from Yale thinks he is going to save it. He is trying to control the East to get money. Its all business. Violence has increased since we entered Iraq, why do you think he sent 20,000 more troops in Iraq?
Whats going to happen is that History is just going to repeat itself. Just like Vietnam, the people are going to get tired of people dieing in Iraq and they will just retract all the troops and we lost.
Even Bush admitted that this war has nothing to do with 9/11, yet he used it to get into Iraq but hey you keep watching Fox News and be informed. We need more people like to you remind the rest of us how bad society gotten.

All I was saying was that he has no clue on what is going on in iraq....but I see you needed to defend your fellow bush hater friend so I'll give you that one.
In my opinion, Democracy is one the best things to happen in this world. If you think otherwise then fine, thats your problem.
If we were only there for oil....then why aren't we "invading" other countries for oil? Iraq isn't the only place in the world that has oil. Also like I said earlier in the thread, central inteligence agencys were telling Bush as well as other country leaders that there were weapons of mass distruction, somewhere in Iraq, Bush decided to act on that and he did. Also another reason why we're in Iraq is to take out Saddam Husein, one of the nastiest dictators in the world (who also had ties with Osama Bin Ladin). Also if you were smart, grades have nothing to do with how "smart" you are. Grades are just a reflection of how well you do in school. There's a lot of smart kids out there who fail their studies all the time. The kids who get strait A's in school, they know how to "play the game". They know how to study hard. Sure oil is ONE reason why he's sending troops in Iraq, but the ONLY REASON? ARE YOU NUTS?!?!? Seriously....who would be cold hearted enough to risk thousands of lives just for oil....you've got to be out of your mind to beleive something like that.... Violence has increased since we entered Iraq...well duh!!!! What did you expect? You think we're going to prance in there naked with a dagger and stab Saddam Husein to death? God no....plus when you take out a leader of a country, of course theres going to be mayhem right after....but the mayhem dies down afterwards....like its doing right now...
This isn't vietnam buddy. We already won the war. All we're doing right now is cleaning it up and maintaining it. We already took down the Iraqi government that was previously held by Saddam Husein. Also Bush did not use 9/11 to get into Iraq, all he said was that Saddam Husein had ties with Osama Bin Ladin....imediately you idiots assume that he used 9/11 to get into Iraq. Now what really threw me off is when you told me to keep watching "fox news". I don't get this stuff from "the news". I get this stuff from my friend who is a marine who fought in Iraq for almost 8 months....Both CNN and Fox News and any other media station fill peoples heads like yours with BS. All they ever show is explosions and the death toll and all that other crap. They don't actually tell you what's going on out there. They just show whatever the viewers want to see. Like you said, "it's a business". Their job isn't to tell you what's going on out there. Their job is to get you to tune into their channel so they can make more money off of easily manipulated high school kids like yourself.
Haha you think society today is bad huh? You must live in some sweet little neighborehood where the birds like to chirp your name. Society today is no different than it's been in the past as far as what is actually "good" and what is actually "bad", is concerned.
I'm glad you need people like me, because we don't need people like you, who look at each and every issue from the surface. I can already tell from reading your post that you are a true hardcore democrat. I can tell from all that biased stuff you just wrote. You're one of those a-holes who will say anything to make Bush look bad aren't you?
I mean if it wasn't for Bush, we'd probably have another terrorist attack right now. But we haven't, because the whole world is to scared to attack us. It's not hard to attack us again either, just look at the U.S./Mexican border. Someone could create lots of mayhem there. But nobody is, because they're too afraid of us.
