I said no modern gun based warriors, the old warriors who use swords and axes and stuff have true skill.Other.

hobbits? like lord of the rings, or are their warriros called hobbits in real life?[QUOTE="Film-Guy"][QUOTE="sonicare"]Ninjas are overrated. Their greatest asset is hiding in the dark. The greatest warriors of all time, easily the hobbits.sonicare
I wouldn't mess with a hobbit. Pound for pound they are the toughest fighters.

the samurai were far more talented than the spartans. the tactics of the spartans were very basic and only required courage in the shield wall. teh samurai had courage and skillcliff122316
Explain how the Spartans, men raised from birth to become warriors, had no skill.
Well, I personally enjoyed the Mongols.

they were trained to be strong and have courage. they did that well. but their actual weapons required far less skill than samurai. samurai fought in mainly one on one battles testing skill and strength with a sword because of their code of honor. the spartans war style was to form a shield wall with spears and charge against the shield wall of the enemy. the spartans (and samurai) had courage and strength but the spartans lacked the skill of the samurai.I say spartans or vikings. please do not post modern day gun warriors, swords take true skill, no army or marines or any guns please.Film-Guy
I haven't read any of the posts and nor do I intend to. This is the dumbest list I have ever seen, lets have a look at it:
Spartans - You have only put this in because you have seen the film 300, and thought WOW they must be the best.
Samurais - You once again have seen a film, however its either the last Samurai or some stupid Anime. Samurai's were not that great, it was by pure luck that the Mongols didn't invade, the Katana would shatter on plate armour from Europe, they proved themselves more stupid on the battlefield then the pompous knights of Europe.
Vikings - Finally the only one on the list that should be there.
Ninjas - *Slaps Forehead* you can't get any more stupid than putting these on the list.
Other - Oh thanks for letting us know that there are other warriors capable of fighting.
You have missed out, Mongolians, Knights Templar, Jannisaries, Roman Legionaries, Highland Clansmen, Gauls/Germanic tribes, Alexanders Macadonian Army, Vangarian Gaurds and many more.
This topic is ridiculous, please may some one lock it for the reasons above.

One on one, one on two, a frenzied melee of hand to hand combat much more brutal than any sort of duel between two swordsmen.
The Spartans lived for one thing and one thing only, to make war.
