Okay, here something that's been bothering me for a while. how can a 14 year old get a credit card/substitute for a credit card. I asked that question around and ppl say that u can exchange money for credit cards at gas station. and some malls have something called a "simon's gift card" which acts just like the gas station one. any ideas?

IF your plan is to get a real credit card for the "buy now, pay later" mentality, Id advise against it. That's how you get into debt and mess up your credit...

You can buy a VISA gift card, they sell them at walgreens/CVS/wal-mart.. and they act just like credit cards, except they have limits on them and they can only be used once.

VISA also sells a debit card at walgreens (forgot what it is called) that you have to refill at walgreens, but I think it costs like $6 to add credit so depending on how much money you will be putting into it, it might not be worth it.

I have used VISA's gift cards (gift2go) on amazon and they work fine. Debit cards are almost the same as credit cards except without the credit part.. if you spend more than what you have in your bank account, you are charged a fee.

A Visa on a debit means you can use the card where Visa is taken...it's connected to your bank account so as long as you have money in your account...you're good.

I'm really confused here, you should start quoting.. debits cards are hooked up to your bank account, and the company gets the money to pay for your expenses from your bank account.

Credit cards pay with credit, and the company that issues you the card sends you a bill. You can pay for it now or later, and depending on your company, you will be charged interest if you don't pay the full amount immediately.

The gift card I'm telling you about is almost like a debit card.. you pay, for example $50, walgreens activates the card, and you spend those $50 on whatever you want. You never actually fill out a contract or anything, and there's no interest involved at all.

With giftcards you pay for them and they activate them. Cash will do it...though I don't know if there is an age restriction.

The gift2go cards offerend at Walgreens/cvs do not require a signature of any kind, you pay for them and you get a card. They're gift cards, you pay for them at the register. Not your parents, or a co-signer, or a magical fairy. You pay, when you walk up to the register.

See, I can help you with the cards but I can't help you with that. :P

You better hope that you're the one that picks up the mail because when your parents see a package for you, a 14-year-old, they are going to try and figure out what's in it.

I did not say regular Gift cards..."VISA gift cards" That is what a Minor's Visa is... Parents put in money into a freakin card, and they can control how much to spend.

lol your tarded. srsly, you just want a debit/credit/gift card to buy ao games? are you sure your not 12? btw, you need to go to sex shops to get most ao games, most ao games are sex games. and even if a game gets an ao rating for too much violence/sex, most devs also modify them because ao games dont sell well and cant even be played on nexgen consoles.

or you can just ignore that whole thing up there that i typed and become an hero.

Gift2go cards are Visa gift cards. http://www.gift2go.net/

The cards you're talking about are completely different and they're not offered at stores.

There is no way to get yourself a Minor (Under 18 ) VISA. First, you need your parents to apply one for you. Two, a Minor Visa keeps you from buying certain items. Also, if you lie about your age when buying something, that is against the law and you can go to juvenile.

I need to me more clear :/ A Visa card for kids is like a Visa gift card. A parent puts in a certain amount each month, and also pays per month for having a Visa card for a kid. There is no such thing for a kid to have a "buy now, pay later" card.
