A couple question for anyone who plays guitar.
- How hard is it to learn/how long did it take you
-do you need an amp to play
-are these good guitars and prices? GLPGLP2

Well, it takes a while to learn some songs... but bands like Sum 41, Blink 182 etc. is easier... Metal is hard. I now play Bass... why not try that also?...
Well, unless you want to listen to it quietly, then yes... but an amp is required... a lot lol... then there's other stuff like distortion pedals and tuning for certain songs, but I didn't bother with that straight away...
Yeah, those look fine... but why not try to get a cheaper one to start with?... then when you get more familar with it buy ones you like and stuff...
well I'm learning the bass, but its pretty much the same...
its pretty difficult, but you just have to stick with it, practice, practice, practice.
for an electric yes, acoustic, no
I'd say no. My first bass (the one I have now) cost about 350. I'm going to have it for years to come, and it sounds good. With instruments price is directly proportial to quality.
a $150 guitar does not sound as good as a $600 one its a very noticable difference.
It's a constant learning progress. Progress is the key word here, because there is always something that can be learned.
I've been playing bass guitar for awhile now but I have only started learning to play the regular guitar for the past year.
It's not too hard, it's a matter of sticking with it. If you'r4e really determined then you shouldn't have any real problems. As long as you remember to have fun with it then you'll be alright.
And an amp isn't exactly necessary, but it is nice to have around.
So what kind of guitar are you looking to purchase? A bass, acoustic, electric?
And you should look for something relatively cheap, but reliable. You don't have to go all out when purchasing something for your first time.
[QUOTE="Conanfan1"]The guitar is for people who are not cool enough to play Guitar Hero...charles07_:?
He's right you know, Guitar Hero ownes guitar.
I play acoustic guitar... I bought a cheap one for about 100 bucks. The sky is the limit when it comes to price though. I recommend picking up a capo, an electric tuner and a guitar stand with it (none are expensive and they are a huge convenience to have... you may not need to capo for certain kinds of music)
