Ok i want to play an instrument but i dont know which one. I bough a guitar but im really not that good at it. I try to play simple songs but im just not that good. I kinda want a drum set because drums just seem fun. I don't really want to play bass becasue i don't know really any good bass songs that i would like to learn. So should i try to play guitar or buy a drum set? If you guys know any good songs for guitar or even bass tell me, and i pretty much like all types of rock.

i've played guitar for about 16 years, and played a little drums during 5 of those years. Go to a local store and try both of them out, see what seems more fun to you. Cause honestly, its all a personal taste

You can't just buy a guitar and be perfect in what you play, you need to practice, and you need to practice a lot. The same will happen with drums, you will buy them and you will need time to learn how to play complicated songs, and the same will happen if you bought a bass. Just buy whatever you want and practice with it as much as you can.

I've always liked drums myself, I think you should just try them both and see what you like.

Drums for me. I've played them for about a year and a half, and they're way more fun then when I played guitar :D Plus, like everyone plays the guitar, easier to find guys to jam with if you play something that everyone's looking for:)

Try multiple instruments out, even if you don't think you'll like them. Musical instrument stores will always let you play around with their stuff. If you really want to get into playing a musical instrument, I suggest starting with piano and getting lessons. If you want to get into music seriously, piano is the best place to start since they also teach musical theory.

When you say 'not good' does it mean you don't practice? I teach piano and 99% of the time, thats what it means.

As for some easy songs, on the guitar:

Oasis - Wonderwall

Everlast - White Devil

The Eagles - Hotel California

America - Horse with No Name

The Beatles - Help!, Nowhere man, Glass Onion

Johnny Cash - Hurt

For me, I'm sticking with both. But as for you, only you could ever tell which one is best for you. Are you more of teh beat type or teh riffs and soloing noise type?

Very true. Out of all the people I know who play one of these instruments. About 97% play guitar, 2% drums and 1% bass (that would be me) Drums and bass is good because if people are forming a band and hear about you, your practically a shoe in. Recently I was contacted by some old mates and they said they were looking for a bassist and I'm the only they know of, so it pays off. But really its just personal taste. You can always go for vocals as well :)
