Stop blaming guns for what happends. People are responsible for what they do, and you have to understand that. We cant keep going on pointing and blaming INATIMATE objects for OUR actions. The only way violent crimes will end is if WE take responsibility.

As for gun control, Im completely againced it. Someone who was that messed up (like the guy at VT) will always find a way to kill people. either through a bomb or making some other sort of weapon. We cannot blame guns for the actons of one person. Theres more the one way to skin a cat.

That doesn't mean we should allow people to kill others with them. :|

Yeah why not, and treat it like alcohol. If people wanna melt thier brains im all for it. the right kind of control is the key. the only problem with drugs liek that is you dont know who has it, unlike with guns where you have to be registered and such.

people are STILL going to kill eachother. and guns are rarly used for home protection. Anyway people like thier rights in the USA, remember what happend when alcohol was made illigal? it would never happen with guns.

The right of the people to bear arms is so that the government cannot effectively take control of the people.  Consider the size of our military versus the size of the entire population of America.  The founding fathers knew that no standing army would ever become more powerful than a well armed populace. 

The fact is, you cannot stop people from killing other people.  There will always be people out there who will take advantage of the freedoms that we enjoy.  As tragic as this event is and should be used as a lesson for the future, it is equally important to not lose perspective.
