 That is incredibly epic.

Wow, that's pretty cool. A lot more interesting than that silly black hole everyone was worried about occurring.
[QUOTE="Teenaged"]Portals opening to new dimensions...because there is no evidence of that ever happening, or that it could happen, as far as I'm aware.[QUOTE="CaptainSchwamm"]Really?
Then what where you referring to as pseudo-science, and why?
CaptainSchwamm
other dimensions have pretty much been proofed to exist, since electrons disappear and no one knows where they go and probably in the other dimension people also wonder where do electrons go when they are in our dimension, the only thing is thatI don't think it will actually openining a portal to another dimension
I thought it was broken. Should have had it made by the Japanese and not youstupid europeans and americans. :P
sonicare
it got broke a year ago , I'm pretty sure it was a very stupid problem but it was fixed
also some people say the LHC could make a black hole and destroy the earth but I'm pretty sure it's something almost impossible

black holes happen when stars explode so why did they think this would make a black hole.

A black hole does not require large mass, only large density. If it can make something so dense such that it is contained in its own Schwarzschild Radius, it's a bloody black hole.[QUOTE="hyrueprince11"]

well I don't really know how but it the thing is that even some spanish guy sued them so they didn't turn it on because he was afraid the earth would be destroyed, also there are micro black holes that evaporate so you don't need a star to explode to make a black hole

They are formed (or so they hope) when they collide two particles that are going close to the speed of light. And yes, they are micro black holes, only in existance for a billionth of a second. The instant they are formed, they evaporate. No chance at destroying the world. People that sue CERN are either attention whores or ignorant idiots.

I could be wrong but I think there is a chance that the LHC could destroy the world with a black hole but the chance is very very low

I guess it would be possible if there was some horrible, horrible miscalculation that resulted in a black hole that was a billion times bigger then they thought it would.
Then again, we really don't know what will happen, so I suppose anything is possible.
