this`s a long wait. :o

It's the usual wait. In my day, you had to wait over a year for a video release.

Yes, my favorite out of the series.
In that book, only Voldemort can fly without a broom.
Well, as the books got longer, there was no way they could squeeze everything into a two and a half hour movie. That's why part seven will be two movies.

Earlier today I posted a topic saying I would give my review. And Im now to lazy to go find it, so here's my short review. (No Spoilers)

As you all know this is the 6th in the series and easily one of the darkest yet. But if you have read the books you'll notice some "Missing" parts. But not enough to turn you away from this movie. Once I started watching I had gotten so into this movie I sort of felt that all the characters were kind of like old friends. (The acting is excellent.) But one thing I couldn't help but notice was in certain parts it was sort of skipped ahead or cut out. I don't know if that was due to time constrictions but if there's going to be an Extended DVD I hope those parts will be added. But besides that minor detail (Which is very small and you most likely won't notice, I only noticed because I look at every detail. If I see the voiceing off Ill look at there mouth the entire movie.)

So on a scale of 1-10 I have to give it a 9.5. Easily the best movie in the series.

I saw it at midnight and I thought that it was excellent. It may be my new favorite HP movie, but I'm still partial to the third one.. Anyway, I thought that it was really well done and had a fantastic balance of funny, sad, and moving moments. It was well-acted, well-written, and visually pleasing. Sure, they left some things out and changed a few things, but I don't really get all up in arms over that even though I have been a hardcore fan for nearly 12 years now. I just like to sit back and enjoy it, and that's exactly what I did. :)

Disappointing to say the least. It should have been renamed Harry Potter 6: When Teens Kiss. They left some very important details out that should have been included in the movie and threw in a bunch of crap that wasn't even in the book. And what crappy ending.

I must say, it was simply awful, probably the worst movie I've ever seen. I gouged my own eyes and ears to ensure I never endure it again.

J/K, I haven't really seen it yet. I'm not a huge fan of the series, so I probably won't go to see it in theaters, but I'll almost definitely watch it on dvd.

You're kidding right? That ruins a HUGE part of Deathly Hallows. God i knew they would screw something up, but not something like that.

Got back from seeing this about an hour ago. Wow! Probably the best movie in the series yet! There was some stuff that I was disappointed that they changed and took out from the novel, but overall it was a great adaption. I think I'll go see it again later this week.

Ah yes, I do remember that being part of the book. Also when it was revealed who the HBP was I thought that it was a little too anti-climatic. In the book it seemed much more dramatic and shocking.

Yeah, I agree with this. It was just kind of stated in the movie, but there was a lot of suspense surrounding it in the book.

When is the new one coming out? A date would be appreciated :)

I thought Harry Potter was for kids when i heard about it, but after watching a few of the movies, they are actually pretty good. Not the best movies ever, but still alot better then i expected, glad i have an open mind :P

Does it start today?

Also ROTTENTOMATOES.com has an average of 89% for the movie! Very high percentage!

Well I saw it a couple of hours ago, and I like it better then HP 3, 4, 5. It was great for the most part, through they could have focus more on the memories moments. There was only two out of the six memories that were in the movie, and the first one felt like it was just added on at the last minute IMO. And is it me, or was J K Rowling at Slughorn's christmas party? I thought I saw her there, but it was only around a second, so maybe it was not her.

I didn't notice her on the magazine. But there was a moment during the party, where they were showing some of the group, and one of the people look like Rowling.

Am I the only serious fan that was extremely upset about the movie? They just cut out way too much stuff. Too many changes that were not needed. I get that some changes may help, but this screenplay sucked. I could have done better.

The beginning sucked (no Dursleys). The ending sucked (no fight). Changes like Luna seeing Harry when he was petrified while wearing those goofy glasses. That would not have worked! Speaking of petrified, Harry NOT being petrified after returning to school with Dumbledore. Too many others to name. But i'm upset. I want my $5 back. I thought I would buy the boxset after all the movies are done, but not anymore. Really, only #3 and #4 are any good. But I remain hopeful for #7 & #8.

I was at this out door mall last night around 11:30 PM. They have a movie theater there...sooooo many people dressed up. It was funny.

Probably not gonna see it. I haven't actually seen any of the movie.

Meh, never cared for Harry Potter. I may watch it when it comes out on DVD, but I'll probably just skip it.
