[QUOTE="LostSoul781"]The beginning was the only good part in the movie. The rest of the movie was pretty lameMrLions
yea....:| The movie started pretty well then just started going down hill after you know the secret. >_>

I agree, plus it had no villain build-up.

I liked it so much, I'm buying the DVD tomorrow. It was cheesy, but I like almost-bad movies.

It wasn't "almost-bad" it was just bad. like everyone said here, the first half of the movie was great. then there's the big reveal, and then they force what should be a completely separate movie's worth of plot into the remaining half hour/45 minutes. Not to mention that the direction it went was just so GD cheesy and comic-like. I figure most people were intrigued by the trailer because it was the antithesis of what all the comic book movies were turning out to be, a fresh take on the genre. I think the reason so many people hated it was because of that, they went in one direction, then did a 180 halfway through the movie.

I actually enjoyed Hancock. It wasn't a brilliant movie by any stretch, but it did take nice twist on the average hero-genre movie and make it somewhat original. I thought it had a really positive message too...that the human spirit is powerful and can accomplish great things if the seeds are planted in the right place. By that, I mean that the PR agent was trying to get big corporations to donate to charity for the good of mankind, and in the process, benefit themselves with good publicity...the golden rule or karma; I don't care what you call it. It's the same thing to me. He also put a lot of faith in a misfit, in whom he saw a great potential.

I enjoyed it.

I didn't even have much of a problem with the second half. I'm not a bit critic on movies. If I enjoy it, then it wins in my book. For me, movies tend to be really awesome, enjoyable, or bad.
