Indeed. If you want a movie with a crazy ass storyline, watch this instead. PLUS, Angelina Jolie shows skin :)

Win/win situation.

I've read that Wanted is murder porn for anti-social losers. Basically, that Wanted is what teenaged idiots thought that Figh tClub was before starting their own backyard fight clubs.

I saw Wanted and it was a complete dissapointment, Hancock on the other hand was awesome. I saw it today.

That's what I've been hearing, and that's what I'll go with.
Seeing Hancock tomorrow.

You've got all your cliche superhero scenes with the car chase, the bank robbery, the big fight in mid air, lots of stuff being smashed and exploding.

SaintLeonidas

...it was a action superhero movie, of course it had that, all superhero movies do...

Then why not do something unique and interesting instead of spoonfeeding us like a bunch of morons? But then again, I guess with the success of all these movies that's what people want. To quote Futurama, "Clever things make people feel stupid, and unexpected things make them feel scared."

...what? I reviewed it in my blog...murder porn? No more violent then The Matrix or any other over the top action films...anti social losers?...maybe if you think the same about say Office Space...It does have some comparions to Fight Club like the whole boring life...which wasnt started by Fight Club...the message is more get out and actually do something, stop living your life the way you are if you hate it so much and change it yourself because it wont be handed to you...anyway its to over the top for all to like, itll be a love/ really hate movie which can be seen by mine and Samwells reviews of it.

The clever and unexpected thing was the premise of the movie, "Lazy bum with super powers"

It's set to make $100 mil in the first week, so they must have done things right.

I saw it. It sucked majorly. I don't consider spending $20 to see a bad movie a "good time".

...if you expected some sort of new, unique and revolutionary superhero movie when you saw Hancock you were sadly mistaken, it was a action hero movie meant to reflect other hero movies with a twist to the character. Dont be negative towards a film when the reason you were disappointed was your own misjudgement of what you thought this was going to be.

I didn't misjudge anything. It was exactly as I expected. They took a unique spin on the superhero genre which really didn't push the envelope at all. I can be as negative as I want. It's open to the public, I payed to see it, this is an open forum discussing what people thought of the movie.

could not of judged to well if you thought the action would be anything other then what you see it all other movies of its genre. Be negative, I dont care, but when its comes to movies Ive very liberal when reviewing them, if they dont disappoint, if they are what I expected and entertaining then they are good enough, I mean you cant try comparing a movie like Hancock to some Oscar winner.

The thing i didn't like about the movie is that they made Hancock into a generic superhero at the end (you know what i mean. tights, stopping villains at a bank scene, etc). I loved the ass i saw at the beginning of the movie.

[QUOTE="Tolwan"]

[QUOTE="hell_blazer899"]a mediocre rating, it's better to watch superman reruns than spendin the extra cash. Who's with me?thisguy51

Considering how cheap a trip is to the theater, i think Hancock is good enough for a cheap thrill. It's a good summer as far as i'm concerned. Dark Knight, Iron Man, Indiana Jones, The Hulk, Wall-E (surprised about that one), Get Smart, etc. I'm making it a goal to see as many movies as possible. Granted, Hancok isnt on the top of the list, but after the others it may still be worth seeing, if not just for an excuse to go to the theater...again.

How much is it where you live?

7 bucks flat for a student :D
