[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"][QUOTE="mattykovax"]We have one right in worcester, massachusettes where I am. He kills hookers that all fit a very distinct profile. they have never used the term serial killer, but there are five hookers that all look the same, killed the same, and dumped the same, and the authoritys here are looking for the same guy for all of them. Last I checked thats a serial killer.mattykovax
Sounds like the Ice Truck Killer from Dexter..

No,nothing that exiting. Worcester is a boring city,we have boring kilers too. I think hes a strangler, but they never give too many details, especially when its serial so I am not sure.

Yea it was really creepy when I lived in rutland they found one of the "Hooker Killer"s victims down the road.

I think that with new technology it is becoming more and more difficult to get away with murders. Back in the 60-80's it would have been much easier to kill someone and the cops not find out. Plus, people in today's society aren't as trusting and are weary of strangers. I doubt we will ever see killers like Ted Bundy or Zodiac again

The only serial killers we have in modern society seem to be those weird doctors that poison their elderly patients. They rake up hundreds of kills though. Kind of scary

Sure, I went thru a phase after a similar discussion in a college psych class and I read all the serial killer books I could get my hands on. I was stunned when they caught the Green River & BTK killers a few years back, thought they'd never catch those two. We'll never know who the Zodiac was.

They did not have to listen. they were weak. he should not have got the harshest sentence. Last I check even if they plan it the accesorys get SHORTER sentences. But no lets blame that scumbag instead of the kids in his family who should have told him where to stick it.

Speaking of Worcester, I went there a few months ago to see a concert. It's a pretty nice place.

Actually, he's not a serial killer. He never killed anyone.

Physically he didn't kill anyone, but his followers, whom he manipulated, did.

It's all debatable, but you're right he never killed anyone, doesn't mean he's not ****ed up though...

Anyway, back in my CJ class in High School we watched vids on Charlie Manson, Ted Bundy, and Jeffery Dahmer. Dahmer caught my eye because of how sick he was. He did some pretty weird stuff that I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say or not....

Yeah, dahmer was a winner. and he should have been caught earlier than he was,but the poilce blundered on that case, big time.

I don't want them everywhere. I just find them fascinating to read/watch about.

Serial killers are always interesting since people always have the need to know why they do what they do. I mean its easy enough to say they're sick in the head, but what made them so hard to spot. I mean Albert Fish was at first glance seen by neighbors as a kindly old gentleman. Ted Bundy was considered a charmer and quite the ladies' man. John Wayne Gacy was a respected business man. He was so respected by his neighborhood that families allowed their children to be entertained by him at parties. Then there's Andrei Chikatilo who was so unassuming that they only caught him by accident.

Hell, you might have a neighbor or a friend who might be a serial killer in the making and already one. And the only reason you haven't been turned into a victim is you don't fit their particular victim profile.

I also took interest in the Zodiac Killer because it was almost like a perfect crime. Sure there was the main suspect, but the guy has never been truly caught. I found his methods interesting (I'm not a sick person:P ). I actually was reading info on serial killers at work a few weeks ago. I wasted away at the computer for over an hour just reading about them, haha.

"...or other dark figure ever really interested you?" if obama can be considered a dark person, then yes there is some fascination to be found from my part. I hear he is not dark enough tho from certain ethnical minorities, so im not sure if my expressed opinion really answers TCs question.

Serial killers interest me, I always like to read about the macabre ways they kill people. It's sick, but grotesquely interesting. Don't lie, violence magnetises us all.

There have been numerous cereal killers who lived and did their deeds in my area including Clifford Olsen who kidnapped children and cut off their hands. He killed 11 kids and is currently in prison where he will spend the rest of his life. And then there's Robert Pickton who befriended street walkers then killed them at his farm. He killed over 26 people. And there are more...
