I've never sat in the very front row but I have had to sit relatively close. It wasn't an overly terrible experience but it definitely put a bit of a damper on the movie. I was forced to stare up and lean back alot.
I can imagine the very front row being absolutely terrible, at that point I wouldn't even bother going to the movie, I would just refund my ticket and catch another show later. The movies are too expensive to not enjoy.
I did it once for the first Lord of the Rings movie when it first came out.
Wound up with a strained neck...never again.
[QUOTE="Hallenbeck77"]Same thing happened to me with one of the Harry Potters It seriously detracted from the experience. I hear that. I wound up hating the movie initially, but it was more from the experience than the film itself.I did it once for the first Lord of the Rings movie when it first came out.

In Disneytown's cinema in Florida I sat in the front row to watch Wall-E. It wasn't that bad - the screen was curved and relatively low, meaning the people in the back could see it while still being in a comfortable viewing position for us front-seaters.
'Twas witchcraft, said I.
[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]Yeah... for Bruce Almighty. Everything was hugeeeee.Lto_thaGMhm. The part where Jennifer's boobs have "grown" was probably charming. You get a lot of up-skirt shots too. I had to shield my eyes for much of the time.

In an unaired episode of the TV show "Friends", actor Matt Le Blanc accidently saw up Jennifer Aniston's skirt and entered a coma for three days. They had to stop filming until he recovered. It turns out that all of her underwear is possessed by demons and that any man who tries to peek at them is doomed to die.
Or, at least, so the legends go.

Damn those Netherworld demons.Damn them to hell...again.Interesting, I arrived 10 minutes before the Deathly Hallows part 2 and there was no one in the seats. I managed to pick the exact middle seat in the middle row. It was great.First movie I had to do that in was Avatar. The theater was so packed, some people sat on the stairs. My god did my neck hurt for looking up at the screen for two hours. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 was the second movie that happened to me....
Ikouze
Yeah i had the misforturne to once,
The Lord of The Rings the fellowship of the ring and i had gone to the premier in Perth and it was so awesome i went again the next day but i had to go pee before the movie and when i got into there the only seats left were at the front,
And for a 3 and a halfhour long movie sitting at the front was so bad for my neck but it was very much worth it.
Yes unfortunately. lol I went to a special screening for About Schmidt and this rude guy, I think he might have been American, wouldn't let us sit down because he had "reserved" his seats for his friends. His invisible friends! Also, because my boofhead "best friend" (not) wouldn't get to the cinema on time we had to sit in the front row during an advanced preview of Precious. Pissed me off so much.
The lesson here is that if you are going to an advanced screening get there early!! Just because its advanced doesn't mean its exclusive I can assure you! :D
I never do anymore but when I was a kid I used to do it all the time as I was very short when I was young and threatres weren't nearly as kind towards short folks as they were somewhat flat which meant that if I didn't sit in the front row there was a great chance a giant adult would block my view. I must say that is was a rather impressive sight as a child to sit in the front row for the opening shot of the film Star Wars.
All the little kids think it's cool to sit in the front row, so you can throw popcorn and M&M's at the screen.
I hate it.
