I'm 19, and I've never had wisdom teeth. My mom never had any wisdom teeth either. Every time I go to the dentist, he keeps telling me that there are no signs of me growing in any wisdom teeth. I guess I'm lucky.

Yep and I got mine removed last year. But they only took out the bottom two. The right side was in a bad position and place and to remove it they had to saw the tooth in half, then yank it out and stitch the hollow remains of my gum. I was fully awake but they numbed me until I couldn't feel anything. Of course when the numbness wore off, the pain is unbearable, just so long you got some painkillers, you'll be fine. Bleeding varies.

As for the other, they had no problem with it. My only concern is removing the top half of my wisdom teeth....

And all of this cost $51 (AU).

Yeah, I got mine out last christmas (I know, merry christmas, right?) The actual procedure was not bad. You're dead asleep and it's over in a SECOND, it was great.

...and then you wake up, and leave the dentist office. And that's an entirely different universe.

It will hurt like hell, I'm sorry to put it so bluntly, but trying to be honest here. It's not good. It's impossible to eat for a few days, at least it was for me. Smoothies and soup with little solids are all you'll be eating. It HURTS. And then after 3 or 4 days, after going through all the painkillers, your stitches will dissolve and you'll be better. It's just simply a miserable few days.

You'll get through it. It sucks, but you'll be alright. It really could have been worse. (Haha, also your face/cheeks will look like a giant balloon from the swelling :p)
