At my local games store, they are selling 3:10 To Yuma on Bluray really cheap, is it any good?

There are two of them? Anyway, I saw the newest one and I thought it was great. Among the top 5 movies of 2007 imo... at least I think it was 2007 >_>Ive seen both and if you are talking abou the new one then yes buy it, its an awesome film

I really liked it. Not as good as Clint Eastwood's films, but still great.

This man speaks the truth. :D
3:10 to Yuma and The good, the bad and the ugly are the best westerns I've ever seen. It's a damn crime why it wasn't nominated for best picture, or at the very least, some acting nominations.
Booooooooooooring movie. Its a good movie...just not what you expect in a western. The only likeable character is the bad guy, which imo is the sole redeeming quality in this movie since I love rooting for the bad guy.
. . . . . the whole time youre watching the movie, they keep talking about what a badass the guy was "back in the war", about how he is really good with the rifle. So you expect him to do something badass...and yet nothing happens. You keep waiting for the dad to do something really cool, yet nothing happens. Then the end comes and its like "Well, he sure was worthless"
Wow. Did you even watch the whole thing? You find out the truth about him, and how he lost his foot. Also, did you see any of the end fight scenes? I'm pretty sure Bale was still kicking ass...

I don't think he was all that bad ass after all. Having said that yeah at the end nobody can shoot straight all of a sudden....
yes I watched the whole thing. Yes I remember hearing that. But they said so many times that he was a good shot. I was expecting him to take a rifle and just smoke fools left and right.
The movie was liking watching an underdog fail. Miserably.

You went in expecting something stylized like The Good, the bad and the ugly, and your upset that you got something more realistic (though still western-like)? Either way, it's been awhile since I've seen it, but I'm pretty sure he was still kicking ass for the most part.

I thought it was painfully bland.

finally, someone that understands where Im coming from
I think the problem was they managed to whip up some nice sets, some good actors, but just couldn't put it together. There was some cohesion missing.Plot: A small time rancher agrees to hold a captured outlaw who's awaiting a train to take him to court in Yuma. A battle of wills begins as the outlaw tries to psych the rancher.

Additionals: The movie is a remake of the cultphonomenon "3:10 to Yuma" which was releaed in 1957 and became fans favorite world wide. The remakefeatures a role of star actors including, Christian Bale, Russel Crowe, Dallas Roberts,Luke Wilson and was directed by James Mongold. In the opening week the film grossed $53,606,916 and ranked number one in the U.S box office, the film grossed $14,035,033 in Canadian box office and $16,409,304 in other territories leading to a grand total profit of $70,016,220.

The script was superb, it flowed perfectly, and our perspective of the characters and their morality slowly changes, resulting in some incredibly tense decision making. If more movies were like this, this industries products would be a whole lot better overall.
It was really really good. First western I ever saw.bronxxbombers
Seriously? Man, you have some catching up to do, I suggest Tombstone, Unforgiven, Wyatt Earp, and Into The West the mini-series.
I saw 3:10 to Yuma and No Contry for Old Men in the same week last summer. No country was a much better movie, 3:10 was ight.
I thought the original was way better, but the remake was okay.Allicrombie
Oh, it was a remake?
The more I know! :)
It was ok. I had trouble buying it as it went on. The implausibility gets to be too much.duxupI agree. The ending was too much.
