Has Disney gone too far...?

I usually don't browse all my TV channels. However, a few minutes ago, I saw on Disney Channel a "comedy" show called Jonas and I was like what the hell, has disney gone too far?

I love Disney cartoons like Mulan, Hercules, Lion King etc. but what are these sitcoms? Especially Jonas Brothers, the band I hate the MOST!

I seriously think that Disney should stop making these lame and unfunny sitcoms.

And for the people who actually think Disney's sitcoms are funny. Watch[spoiler] this [/spoiler]

I've never liked Disney films (old or new). Only the ones they did with Pixar. Everything else I don't see the appeal of.

At least it has no laugh track. It's not AS bad as I thought, but it's still unwatchable to me. I thought they were too old for a show, and it's not like they needed the money or anything. The whole idea is stupid.

disney went downhill when walt died. no joke. he would've never allowd hannah montana and all that other crap. i love his old cartoon films, hell, i love disney world in general. but disney channel, it was never really any good to begin with. the only good show it had was even stevens.

The only show I like on the channel is The Suite Life, The secret agent platapus isn't bad either.

As for the rest of the rubbish on that channel.....kill it with fire.

I don't understand the hate for the Jonas Brothers. They are successful. They aren't your target demographic. So why do you care? I don't mind watching an episode of suite life (Brenda Song big plus!) Anyways, its money for them and Jonas gets more successful. Disney has learned the tweens + music is where its at. They are rocking it pretty hard core to. Props to them for figuring it out.

Yeah, the two biggest tween stars are Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana. I think thats rocking a demographic quite well.Though I could be wrong.

You may not like them, but young kids just eat those shows up, and parents like the supposed family values they promote. I should know, my uncle has a couple of young kids that love Disney shows and he goes on and on about how he likes Disney Channel stars because they have good values. It's cool, though, because every time one of them poses naked or says a dirty word ro something and causes a huge fuss I never cease rubbing it in his face. Hey uncle, maybe I should show your young son this online picture of Miley Cyrus, she has such great family values after all and nothing she does could ever run contrary to your belief system.

It's no suprise, TV shows targeted at kids are going downhill lately. First Nickolodeon with Zoe 101 (wtf) now this.

I miss 1980's cartoons. Rocko's modern life, invader zim, doug, angry beavers, the origional spongebobs with extreme violence that they don't air anymore. Sigh...

Disney caters to the little kids and adults over 60. I don't think you fit in their target market. :)

Thier music is horrible in my opinion. It just seems like Disney is selling out to Hannah Montana and this crrap, The Jonas Brothers. They hardly put out any good shows anymore. It's all garbage now.

As long as I am restricted to watching Disney Channel for the rest of my life, I really dont think we should really bother with what Disney is doing with the Jonas Brothers.

The first pirates of the caribbean was really good. The second one... eh... and the third one was too confusing and ridiculous. Other than that, I don't like a lot of disney stuff, but I think it's gauged more towards young kids a lot of times... so I guess I'm not surprised.

This isn't anything new, most everything Disney makes is crap. The fact is that parents are too lazy to help their kids find something a little better to watch. There is plenty of high quality entertainment available for children, but that would mean seeking it out a bit rather than just tuning into Hannah Montana.

Once out of the blue, my daughter wanted a piece of Hannah Montana merchandise, I could have just given in and reasoned that it was what all the second graders were into, but instead I said no. Then come Christmas a relative that doesn't even really know her gave her a Hannah Montana CD and I endured it being played a couple of times, but the end result was that the music sucked so bad she lost all interest in Hannah Montana. Now she has no interest whatsoever in Disney Channel's live action shows, because I've always made something better available.

Such terrible acting.
