@nintendoboy16: I’m quite sure that’s not true, at all.
@sargentd:
This old soon to be dead lady is almost as brave as Tucker Carlson as he bravery sat above Moscow's top opera and had a VIP drive to the Kremlin.

Well, Navalny just died in prison.
However, it's worthy of note that he did not care for Ukrainians either.
Navalny was a Neo-Nazi. Yet liberals are simping for him... Liberals sure seem to love simping for fascists.
First of all, where are you getting that he was a Neo-Nazi? Russia? As far as any common knowledge is concerned, he was anti-establishment and anti-government, or at the least anti-kremlin.
Second of all, no one is simping for him, they're criticizing the clear imprisonment and murder of a political threat.

This is false. It was manipulated (much like Ukraine) as a means to get rid of him.
Having said that though, he's still not a nice guy. No friend of Ukriane.
But he's someone Russia did care about, and it should be leveraged for all it's worth.
Navalny was basically a far-right white nationalist:
Amnesty strips Alexei Navalny of 'prisoner of conscience' status (BBC, 2021)
Amnesty International has stripped the Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny of his "prisoner of conscience" status after it says it was "bombarded" with complaints highlighting xenophobic comments that he has made in the past and not renounced.
A spokesman for the human rights organisation in Moscow told the BBC that he believed the wave of requests to "de-list" Navalny was part of an "orchestrated campaign" to discredit Vladimir Putin's most vocal critic and "impede" Amnesty's calls for his release from custody.
But on review, Amnesty International concluded that comments made by Navalny some 15 years ago, including a video which appears to compare immigrants to cockroaches, amounted to "hate speech" which was incompatible with the label "prisoner of conscience".

2021 alterationof Alexei Navalny's status
Amnesty International's decision in February 2021 to strip Alexei Navalny's status as a Prisoner of Conscience, due to comments made about migrants in 2007 and 2008 regarded as hate speech, provoked criticism from other human rights organisations and resignations from supporters.[190] Amnesty stated that a person who has "advocated violence or hatred" is excluded from their current definition of a Prisoner of Conscience and that the use of the term was intended to "emphasize the unjust nature of his detention and our opposition to his unfounded prosecution", but upon reviewing the case, the use of the term Prisoner of Conscience was found to be a mistake. Amnesty apologised for "poor timing" which had allowed the Kremlin to "weaponise" the controversy against Navalny's supporters. Amnesty stated it still considered Navalny a political prisoner.
An anonymous Amnesty employee stated he believed a propaganda campaign was allegedly organised against Navalny, by making his previous controversial comments more prominent. Amnesty's decision was described by western media as "a huge victory for Russian state propaganda" which undermined Amnesty's support of Navalny's release. Following those accusations, Amnesty International answered: "Reports that Amnesty's decision was influenced by the Russian state's smear campaign against Navalny are untrue. At no point were statements falsely attributed to Navalny, or information solely intended to discredit him, taken into consideration. Propaganda by the Russian authorities is recognizable as such."
Amnesty later redesignated Navalny as a Prisoner of Conscience, stating on 7 May 2021 that, as an initial step in a review of its "approach to the use of the term 'Prisoner of Conscience'", it will no longer exclude people from being called Prisoners of Conscience "solely based on their conduct in the past," as they recognize people's "opinions and behaviour may evolve over time."
---------------
In late 2006, Navalny appealed to the Moscow City Hall, asking it to grant permission to conduct the nationalist 2006 Russian march. However, he added that Yabloko condemned "any ethnic or racial hatred and any xenophobia" and called on the police to oppose "any fascist, Nazi, xenophobic manifestations".
The clip in question features an image of white terrorists btw.
Though is most definitely akin to a "MAGA" but his charges on Nazism was designed to remove him, nothing more.
And just to be clear here, I do not think this is a good guy, he is merely a means to an end.
@uninspiredcup:
There's another viral clip of Navalny speaking at a rally where crowds are doing Nazi salutes.
Either way, he's definitely what we'd call a far-right extremist in the West.
Certainly no question at the very least he was right leaning.
And I would agree that certain liberals have praised him. Unfortunately, Biden himself falls under that category from what saw today. But would guess this isn't genuine but political maneuvering.
Most of the comments have seen though are merely acknowledging he was politically assassinated, which was expected.
That account you posted is Pro-Russian, which itself is being hypocritical with that post. As it has praised Wagner in the past and it's exploits, which itself, was founded and headed by a literal de-facto Nazi.
He was one of the men blown up in the plane with Yevgeny Prigozhin. Paid and used by Russia as the spearhead in the Ukriane war.
Similarly Russia itself is now, very obviously a fascist' state.
Regardless, his jailing was fictitious in nature. Ukrainian won't really give a shit about him other than a way to destabilize Russia.
@girlusocrazy: Navalny sounds more extreme than Putin in some ways. If Navalny had come to power, he probably would've ethnically cleansed Russia's minorities. But on the other hand, I doubt Navalny would've been all that interested in colonizing Ukraine. Either way, they're both terrible choices... kind of like Biden and Trump.

This is exactly what Putin is doing.
I swear, Putin is testing how low can Russians go and the population is like "Lower!"
BTW there's a meme going around of Traitor Carlson comparing grocery prices in Russia with the US. That guy is really a shameless propagandist.
@uninspiredcup: I remember hearing about this at the start of the conflict. Putin claims to be tolerant of minorities, yet he's disproportionately drafting minorities to go and die in Ukraine. It reminds me of the Vietnam War, when America disproportionately drafted black soldiers to go and die in Vietnam, which famously led to Muhammad Ali opposing the draft.
After some brutal shelling from Russia (supposedly running out of ammo a few months ago), Ukraine's most heavily defended stronghold just fell
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68323366
US National Security Council spokesman Adm John Kirby had earlier warned that Ukrainian forces were running out of artillery ammunition with Russia sending "wave after wave of conscript forces to attack Ukrainian positions".
"And because Congress has yet to pass the supplemental bill, we have not been able to provide Ukraine with the artillery shells that they desperately need to disrupt these Russian assaults."
Earlier this week, the US Senate approved a $95bn (£75bn) foreign aid package - including $60bn for Ukraine - after months of political wrangling, but it faces an uphill battle in the House of Representatives.
Ukraine is critically dependent on weapons supplies from the US and other Western allies to keep fighting Russia - a much bigger military force with an abundance of artillery ammunition.
After some brutal shelling from Russia (supposedly running out of ammo a few months ago),
They had to go to NK. And it was won through meat assaults primarily. Russians dying multiple times over compared to Ukrainians. Zerg rush.

Former Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny very wisely wanted to withdraw 2 months ago. Dipshit Zelensky said no and sacked him. The results are that the town is still lost and thousands more Ukrainians are dead or captured.
By the end of the battle their defense collapsed because their artillery couldn't even fire back at the Russians. Their escape was literally driving down broken roads as Ruskie shells rain down.
And idiots blame Americans for this
https://twitter.com/JayinKyiv/status/1758428348399697932
@vl4d_l3nin: He did predict this outcome, yes. Though haven't seen a specific source citing this was the reason he was let go.
Looking at it purely from what would be advantageous, placing the blame on America, specifically Republicans and leverage it for all it's worth, would arguably be the wisest move. And probably what will happen.
This man having teenager bitch-fits on the internet where it's all about him is potentially going to run the most prominent country in the world that Europe is relying on.
It's over.
lol it took russia killing 47,000 of its soldiers to take a tiny little town. that's nearly the us casualty totals for the entirety of the vietnam war.
jfc they're bad at war.
Yulia Navalnaya account on creation was immediately suspended, then reinstated.
Nothing sus'

How can you say that? Like everything else Trump says, it makes full sense :P
In related news, remember the FBI informant charged with inventing the bribery stories about Hunter Biden?
Court filings this week claim that he admitted to having fairly extensive connections with Russian agents - including recent meetings with them to discuss how to end the war in Ukraine.
Here's a fun clip of Trump lying, sometimes multiple times in a single sentence.

Most heavily defended area in the country by a significant margin.
Our enemies in Vietnam lost well over a million and won.
Vietnam should be a good indicator that body counts are kind of meaningless.
EDIT: 17,000 dead. Casualty =/= death
Russia staggering losses are due to Russia not caring. It's a tactic for them, like... literally, that's the tactic.
If this was a hypothetical situation of (whatever as an example) America replacing them, they would not have these staggering losses.
1. They care more about their troops 2. They are simply a better army
Russians are running in open, without cover with masses mowed down at a time a human shield so the next lot can get in closer.
Fact is though, it worked. But it's not due to Ukraine using leet skills with masses of troops themselves.
@uninspiredcup: This is just not true. What both sides perceive as "meat waves" is just the reality of modern trench warfare. Russia didn't do this in Georgia or Chechnya. He used Bakhmut as an example, but Ukraine took just as many casualties there, if not more.

From what can see citing this as an argument here is as if they are "equal", like all scenarios amount to this. Which, na, don't agree with that.
Compared to an army like America, Russia 100% has a complete disregard for human life.
1. Corruption (this was established at the very start of the war where the perception of their prowess went out the window)
This is not a problem America has.
2. Poor training
By design these people are a zerg rush, so it's pointless wasting resources on them. Many examples online of them having, 0 training. None. Lied to. Sent out.
3. Poor equipment/maintenance (related to corruption)
This is something America compared to Russia absolutely puts emphasis on.
Compared to Russia America focuses on technology, flexibility and combined arms
4. Lack of empathy towards their troops, in cases like Bakhmut using convicts as meat padding, with almost 0 training
Protecting soldiers is a priority of modern America.
5. Poor communication/masking
America excels at this in comparison.
6. Putin is having an election soon, that means, rush, rush rush, meet deadline. If you have to die, so be it.
Would America do this? Nope.
7. Internal abuse
^
Ukraine has it's own problems as well. Such as some straight up bad command and using cobbled together equipment from all over the world, rushed to learn and use it... They aren't some "end all" army either, but considering circumstances, they are doing well.
But the point arguing, it's not the reality of all warfare, trench or not, it's the reality of Russian warfare.
@uninspiredcup: Ukraine doesn't care more about their troops. They care more about their civilians. That's why we are seeing significantly less women and young people in the military than just a year ago. The average age is 43 and 1/4 of their troops are over 60. In 2022, the average age was 30
https://time.com/6329188/ukraine-volodymyr-zelensky-interview/
Since the start of the invasion, Ukraine has refused to release official counts of dead and wounded. But according to U.S. and European estimates, the toll has long surpassed 100,000 on each side of the war. It has eroded the ranks of Ukraine’s armed forces so badly that draft offices have been forced to call up ever older personnel, raising the average age of a soldier in Ukraine to around 43 years. “They’re grown men now, and they aren’t that healthy to begin with,” says the close aide to Zelensky. “This is Ukraine. Not Scandinavia.”
Yet were supposed to believe these insane casualty ratios, despite the fact the casualties have been kept confidential. Sometimes it's 3:1, other times it's 7:1, even 10:1. So many in the West choose to believe this despite the fact that an aging military is a classic sign of depleted personnel.
@vl4d_l3nin: Yes.
^ Plane accident after storming Moscow
Ect..
etc..
etc...
etc...
etc...
Countless clips of them committing suicide, explaining how they were lied to, Ukrainians inspecting their equipment, meatwaves, dead bodies scattered etc.. etc.. ect...
So to return to the original question, yes. Ukrainian troops are widely treated in a superior manner to Russians.
Be exceptions, but for Russia it's basically the norm.
Even before they ship out.
@uninspiredcup:Lots of that is Ukrainian propaganda as part of the United News campaign. It was the same program that propagated Ghost of Kiev, Russian warship go **** yourself bombing, and Ukrainian southern offensive (all of which never happened).
Unfortunately Western news didn't cover it that much. This NYT article is all I could find from the West.
So why do you think there are so many grandpas in the Ukrainian army if their not getting sent into the meat grinder like the Russians? Where did all the younger dudes go?
@uninspiredcup:Lots of that is Ukrainian propaganda as part of the United News campaign.
Nope, everything posted there is from Russian sources.
First clip is (was) the head of Wagner himself Yevgeny Prigozhin who repeatedly complained about the lies regarding ammunition and the treatment of his men dying multiple times over, subsequently attempted to storm Moscow before backtracking and eventually being assassinated cleanly.
Many clips like this are uploaded of entire groups of Russian troops complaining about their treatment, lied to, calling out for help under the delusion anyone cares.
Not sure what trying to argue now. Ukraine has its propaganda, no doubt. But the basic argument of Russia being a good army, treating it's army equal to others or having war tactics comparable to America? Or just, good tactics?
Yea. Na. Comp is right, it's a terrible army, it was a terrible army from the opening days with it's 40 mile line of unmaintained tanks with the worlds largest traffic jam.
2011.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/wikileaks-nato-unimpressed-by-russian-military/
This was proven as fact in practice with immediate effect of the Ukraine war.
The documents also claimed that Russia's army and air force could not cooperate properly
@vl4d_l3nin: it goes to dispensing the idea that russia is really a global military superpower. they're bush league and they've been exposed on the global stage for how comically inept they are. what's their advantage? they happen to have more meat to throw at the problem? shit, you could probably win a war with feathers if you really had the right amount of them.
