I know it's not really any of my business, but it's getting kinda annoying with all the guys and girls on my Facebook showing off that they're in a relationship with the kissing photos and the ''luv u 4ever'' usernames. :P Honestly I haven't ever seen a highschool relationship lasting more than a year. I think it's a bit childish that kids ''go out'' with each other at such a young age...

Most teenagers still need their parents to take care of them, I think a ''relationship'' is still too big of a responsibility for kids. It ends up being some immature situation 90% of time time, and teenage couples break up for some reason and someone cries about it like it's the biggest thing in the world.

I find highschool ''crushes'' to be a bit silly in some cases, especially because some kids just go out with each other because it makes them feel cool. Do you agree? Have you ever seen a highschool or young relationship actually last?

Just depends on the couple. While the majority of HS relationships don't last, there are a few that pull out.

Someone is bitter. ;)

Ive seen plenty of HS relationships last. And even if they dont last its good to have experience in relationships in your younger years. It helps you out later in life when youre out for more long term serious commitments.

Well, not me because my boyfriend doesn't go to my school but I'm in year 10 and there is this couple who have been going out since year 7... They might get married but I think they might get bored of eachother.

I knew a 9th Grader who had a girlfriend for a year and a half before finally breaking up. That is, they were dating since 8th Grade.

And, yeah, I agree. Dating is just a game in high school, all the football players trying to see how many cheerleaders they can date by the end of the year.

But yeah, I had one in HS, and it ended up in a wildfire.

Yeah, actually.

Tons of them.

This is the correct answer. Though many relationships do not last there is a significant amount of high school romances that do.

Well, I wanna know why this question is being asked on Gamespot of all places. LOL

But yes, I know plenty of them that have worked. And undoubtedly more fail then work out, but it's a chance those high-schoolers take when they get in a relationship. I know it was pointless for me until college came. And it's even kind of pointless until you have a good job and a college education.

one of my friends is still dating his G/F from senior year. but, I don't see it lasting, he's just to damn irresponsable, and eventually (probably soon) she's gonna get tired of his crap. but yeah, I know of other people who married HS sweethearts and are still together.

Lol jealous? Of high school kids who think they've found "the one"? Hardly. I just find it funny as hell and ironic that they try way too hard. "Oh I love my boyfriend/girlfriend she/he's the best ill declare it to everyone and post kissy pics to to prove it Im so in love" then BAM it all goes downhill. Priceless.

Yeah a few, as for me I'd rather finish school, get a steady job, and house then I'll think about girls and settling down, probably won't happen until I'm in my mid 20s.

You know, even if he was being jealous, you're being awfully quick to judge. Has it not occurred to you that relationships just aren't cut out for very unintellectual people such as high school students?

I'm being quick toassume because I used to act the same way. Honestly, I don't see what's wrong with high school relationships and how high schoolers aren't cut out for them.

many family friends have been together since high school AND their marriages are great, have close families, kids are good to parents, etc. Of course, they (parents, not the kids) weren't born or raised in the US.

I think we've all heard what "assuming" does bud. Better stop while youre ahead.
