Has TV gotten worse over the years?

TV in the past 11 years has been by far the best years of television ever. My suggestion to you, turn off TBS/CBS/ABC and get HBO/FX/AMC.SaintLeonidas

definitly, my favorite shows the past decade have been 24, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Arrested Development Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead. OMG! those are all shows from HBO, Fox, and AMC! cbs, abc, and tbs are pretty notorious for mass producing tons of shows that only stay for a season or two and then are replaced by something that is equally if not more terrible.

Nope, the past decade has been amazing for television (Six Feet Under, Mad Men, Breaking Bad etc.)

I think people aren't watching the right shows :P

you're so right. everyones stuck in the early days of television where they were maybe two or three channels and that was it unless you wanted a serial radio drama.

TV only continues to get better with stations like HBO, FX, and AMC

The quality of children's/tween programming has gone way, way down. It's just garbage now.XilePrincess

Anyway, I haven't seriously watched tv for years. I lost interest a long time ago.

I used to watch lots of tv in HS and younger. After HS I found myself watching less and less to the point where if my apt didn't provide free cable I probably wouldn't bother getting any type of tv subscription.

The advent of the reality TV show is a plague on television.

the shows my mom watches is just garbage.....

Only cartoons have gotten worse. Everything else is fine.

dave chappelle isnt on tv anymore

Well in some ways yes and in other ways no. With commercials yes, with tv shows...meh..it's a bit of an inbetweener.

There is a lot of crap out there like MTV for example but I think overall TV has gotten better. I can watch the Science channel, Discovery, Green, HDT, etc... all day long and never be bored with it

now that i think of it this. the "2nd" tier channels seem to be better then the big ones

imo family guy has bombed, along with other cartoons on animation domination. I can't stand Bob's Burgers. The Simpsons is still going strong after all these years which is a plus.

Oh trust me.....I only have free-to-air......but I gave up on TV for the simple fact that I COULDN'T find anything worth watching.....on any channel :P

I don't know, I don't watch TV very often so I can't really tell, but I used to love the old cartoons like Hey Arnold and Rugrats

I don't really watch TV anymore.I buy seasons for shows I want to watch,like The O.C. :)
