I can do it. In fact I take control of a good number of my dreams. I can also go from awake laying in bed directly to a sort of dream state where I'm also in control of the dream. I just sort of comes naturally and usually involves me saving the world. I think my easiness in doing this comes from the fact that it is difficult for me to sleep and even more difficult to enter a deep sleep. ferrari2001ill have to agree, im not sure i ever enter deep sleep and i wake up so easily, i been like that all my life - i have to use sleepingpills but i had lucid dreamings just as much years before i started using sleepingpills for me its not a problem with the lucid dreaming itself - its awesome my problem is the actual sleep, that i have problems falling asleep, staying asleep and wakeups nonstop and i never keep diary of my dreams, i can remember tons anyway, so im pretty sure its cause of all my wakeups and lightsleep
just cause a person has lucid dreams it doesnt mean the dream has no surprices, sometimes u can only control urself, sometimes abit of the objects around u or whatever see it as a game ure actually in playing, u know its a dream so the monster doesnt scare u as much and u can throw fireballs at it instead, or just explore the dreamworld itself personally when i run around in my dreams opening doors i wont know whats on the other side - but i know its a dream and therfore im not affraid of anything and can have more fun with it and u feel stuff way more then in real life (in my case atleast), heat, cold, pain, pleasure, all senses, its all very vivid so i dont think any lucid dreamer would consider it bad its really amazingi hear strories about alot of ppl cant get enough sleep when they lucid dream. some ppl cant stop lucid dreaming because they have been doing it for years and everytime they sleep they would just take control without even trying. thats the only thing im scared of. well yes i had sleepingproblems all my life, i dunno if a person who learns lucid dreaming will get that though... and i dont take control in all dreams, its different degrees, a few times im not even aware its a dream its like a game, ure in there having some control but u cant control everything in a game, it has its story and places - but u can walk aroudnd freely and interact as u please and be aware[QUOTE="metalkitten"][QUOTE="Crunchy_Nuts"]I like my dreams to be a surprise and I've never really been bothered as I can't go to sleep unless I'm completely drained, but I do find it interesting to read about these kinds of things.HaloReachGOTY
I have them from time to time. Pretty interesting stuff. I have strange sleep habits as it is, so it's not uncommon for me to experience such things (the out of body experiences, false awakenings, Narcolepsy which helps by making me believe I'm still awake and only to have a reality check to show me that I am indeed still asleep, etc). Trippy stuff.
