Yeah. I walked right out in front of speeding car luckily my friend was paying more attention than I was and pulled me out of the way right before I got run over. The sad thing is is that I was 18 when this happened.

How can you almost get run over while getting off a school bus, unless someone was driving on the sidewalk or something? :?Haha just posted this in the Worst Moment thread but in 4th grade i almost got ran over getting off of the school bus, and i've had a couple of pretty bad four-wheeler wrecks but luckily I only got scratches from them, but they could have been way worse.

Yea, one particular time comes to mind. I was around 12 or 13 riding my bike when I found this really big hill in the middle of town to ride down the street on. So, I would go down it every now and then. Once, I was like 5 inches from slamming into a car that was driving across the road.

My two worst close calls.
1) I was on a farm working on an electrical panel, and I accidentally touched a lug on a motor starter, and got a 480V shock. Lucky for me, the guy I was working with turned off the power, because I couldn't let go. My fingers were shaking around and got all cut up on some sheet metal screws. I had a place on my wrist where the skin was all melted. My theory is that the electricity went in my wrist, and went out of my fingers, and that's why the electricity didn't go through my heart and kill me. I don't recommend the experience.
2) I was on the freeway and passing a semi. I wasn't going much faster than him, and my bumper was about even with his fuel tank when he started coming over. There wasn't enough time to slow down or stop because he had a double, so all I could do was go onto the left shoulder. There was no median, just a Jersey-block barrier separating the two sides of the freeway. Lucky for me, there was enough space for my car between the yellow line and the Jersey-blocks. Other places on that same freeway only have two or three feet between the yellow line and the Jersey-blocks, so if this had happened somewhere else, I might have got my ticket punched.

I accidentally grabbed an electric horse fence to save myself from falling in a creek once. I was instead shot off into the creek instead of simply falling into it and I had an electrical burn straight across my palm.I accidentally grabbed an electric horse fence to save myself from falling in a creek once. If you aren't sure whether an electric fence is live or not, you can always find out by peeing on it. Trust me it wasn't on purpose. It was near some branches I grabbed for but I grabbed it instead. I also know someone dumb enough to pee on one and they did.[QUOTE="RAMRODtheMASTER"]I accidentally grabbed an electric horse fence to save myself from falling in a creek once. A few years ago I was walking down my basement stairs. I somehow lost my footing, tripped down the stairs. Instead of falling and cracking my head open, I "crashed" into a dog gate that was standing up on our stairs. I slid down the stairs on the dog gate and it literally broke my fall. Honestly, I think I would have been dead had it not been for that inanimate object standing in my way. Our basement stairs have jagged metal edges and no carpeting, and I've injured myself several times on them. Now I can only imagine what it would be like with me tumbling to my death....
Riding my motorcycle on the hills about a year ago when I was 17, came around a corner too fast doing about 50mph, headed towards a solid wooden telephone pole and managed to shift my weight to the other side, missed it by inches, landed safely on the grass, no damage to bike or me.
Another time on the same motorcycle which is now with a different owner. I was at the traffic lights waiting on red, just daydreaming, then I hear a sudden screech and I'm hit by a van from behind. I get thrown into the air and near the pavement, luckily the bike took the impact because of it's weight, if it had been the bike I have now, then I would of been going through a car window.
Last year I was walking up to a busy intersection and waited for the light to turn green for me to walk. Before I started walking however I checked my phone that had started vibrating. Less than two seconds later a jeep barreled through the stop light going at least 60 mph. If I hadn't stopped walking to check my phone before crossing I'd have been right in his path...
