That happend to me with cinnamon gum once before. I scrapped the layer of skin off with my teeth, then I reached in and scraped the rest of with my nails. Lol, that was nasty.
No, not with salt & vinegar chips, but with sour strawberry candies.. I don't know if there's an English word for this stuff, but they're long strips of soft candy, topped with a layer of suger and with a sour/strawberry taste. If you eat too many that'll definately get your tongue to bleed! They taste good though :D Haven't had them in a while, maybe I should get a pack tomorrow :wink:

Yeah, I think in these here parts (America) they're called Sour Ropes. Good stuff and I can completely agree that they would cause tongue damage.

salt and vinegar chips may be one of the worst food creations ever, however i have eaten capn crunch till my gums bled, that cereal tears up ones mouth
No but here in New Zealand we have a brand of salt and vinegar chips so strong that if you eat more than half the bag you lose all taste in your mouth for a week and burn your stomach. Theyre awesome!
