How do you deal with it? Especially with knowing the fact that you could be getting a better deal elsewhere, but you still pay that amount of money.

Such as paying $68 for a video game when you could be getting it for simply $22 in the US...

Or paying 15 bucks for a movie ticket when another place has it for just 8...

That kind of thing. And your situation doesn't warrant you the ability to take advantage of better deals elsewhere (otherwise you wouldn't be complaining and just go with what's better)

no kidding, I bought an MP3 player for $75 at office depot, cometo find out later on, it was worth only $50 at the manufacturer website

I also bought a $600 camera at Best Buy, when the camera at the manufacturer's website was worth around $400

problem is couldn't return because 30 days had already passed

one thing I learn, PRICE SHOP before buying anything, I bought out of impulse and got screwed twice

I feel ripped off all the time lol. For example, I bought God of War 3 and Metal Gear Solid 4 for $60 when they both first came out. I then came back to the game store a month later and found both titles at $39 used! There were other scenarios in my life where I spent too much money only to find cheaper prices (movies, games, electronics, etc).

I'm a little more consumer conscious now.

This isn't for buying stuff, but i found out that a game i could have sold on ebay actually was more than i could get for trading in games to gamestop for store credit. Taught me to look around the internet to see if i could get better deals.

Everything I buy where I work... I can get a 5% reduction in price, if it wasn't for my previous boss forgetting and then loosing my card for it.

I payed £3.30 for a bacon baguette today, 2 pathetic pieces of microwaved bacon on a terrible microwaved piece of soggy bread. If you ever go to chippenham, NEVER !! go to First cafe. ever.

Ugh last time I paid 15 dollars to watch a movie, and I ended up falling asleep through out it, so now I am going to pay to go watch it again. :(

To be honest, I never feel ripped off. its my responsibility to look around before i buy. I found some 5.1 speakers at a computer direct store near me for $50 dollars, which Newegg was selling for $90..., and newegg doesn't usually rip people off.

Every time you're buying something as a tourist in a tourist destination-You're being ripped off... Every time you buy a bottle of coke in a convenient store placed in an unconvenient location, where there isn't competition for kilometers-you're being ripped off. So yes-I have...

I never pay $2.25 for a 2 liter of big brand soda. I so to the dollar stores and pay $1.10 flat... Or I just buy my local brand 12 pack for $1.99.

I also never bought drinks at school. School always sells 500ml drinks for $2.00. I would always buy them at the grocery store in bulk for $0.50 each. Then just bring one to school with me.

Sometimes you don't have a choice(not everywhere there are dollar stores...... or buildings, for that matter). And sometimes you don't know you're ripped off.

Yeah I die a little inside watch non cheap people throw their money away... My college has lunchables for $2. I could easily find a deal 10 for $5...

Now that i think about it, University textbooks and courseware are a rip off. They make the textbook mandatory and then charge over $100 per book. and if you care about your grades, then you have little choice. I remember one professor made a coursepack which she wrote herself mandatory and charged $120 for the 30 page coursepack. (It was black and white too, paperback) How its legal for a professor to make a text, which they wrote themsleves, mandatory for their students and charge that much is beyond me. Needless to say, Much of us were able to avoid that cost with some handywork

I feel ripped-off basically every time, since I know if I were buying in the United States I'd be paying half the price of everything I buy. When I think of how much I payed for my Xbox 360 with extended warranty of 3 three years it chills me.

Just the other week I was buying crisps at lunch. I got the average packet for 85c, and as I was walking out of the shop, I noticed a shelf with a special offer of a super-extra large pack for 1 euro

*facepalm*

Bought the Collectors Edition of Hellgate: London. The game isn't even up anymore as they couldn't generate enough funds to keep the servers up. I'm literally stuck with a useless disk and a fancy box.

Not really. If you admit to continually buying something and feeling ripped off, then you're basically admitting to being a sucker.

Yeah, I feel like that quite often, and there's really nothing I can do about it unless I either move out of NJ or legalize cannabis. So for now I'm stuck with getting ripped off

I feel ripped off with airsoft in canada. I spent $700 on my gun that's worth like 250 in the US. It's because it's illegal to import replica firearms into canada now, so you can only buy what was already in the border before the law was in place.

Yup. Went to a Yankee game today. Payed $5 for a bottle of water and $6.75 for a hot dog. The vendors should carry guns on them: stop trying to hide the fact that this is robbery!

No I don't think so. If I can return it, I will. If I can't, it's spilled milk and at least I can still use the product.
