have you ever had encounters with the police?

Yesterday was my birthday so I had quite a bit of money. Me and a few mates went into town and we ended up in a military memoribilia tye of store. They had some really good kick-ass guns there, and I bought one. It wasnt liek a massive one or anything just a small pistol BB gun. so alter that night me and my mates are in the park with our new BB guns shooting cans. The next fifteen - twenty minutes were kind of a blur but resulted in me and one of my mates being carted off in a van:(

Basicly a crowd of about ten people who all had clubs and snapped snooker cues came into the park and were looking for some people(presumabley to fight with them). we(me and my mates)mknew a few of them so we were talking to them and suddenly two police cars anda van pull up. The crowd of people with clubs/bats etc etc all threw there stuff into the bushes and half of them ran-off(they werent caught) so in a sort of heat of the moment thing me and my mates threw our BB guns into a bush awell. the police searched the bushes and me and tom owned up. thinking "hteir only BB guns they wont be that bothered"... we were wrong

and basicly at 4 pm today ive got to go down to the police station where they're goning to presumably take down our version of events and hopefully not press charges and just let us off witha caution...

I was just wondering how many other OT'ers have stories to tell of their brushes with the law?

What could they press charges for?

when i was arrested the guy said "you are under arrest for possession of fire-arms etc etc"

after talking to the woman before I was let out of the van it seems very likely that im going to just get a caution. However they could charge me for possession of an 'immitation' fire-arm... but thats very unlikely.

So anyway, on March 24 (I know, I waited a long time) one of my roommates and I decided to walk down to Taco Bell to get something to eat. When we got there however, we found out that it closes at nine o'clock. What kind of fast food place closes at nine? So then we decided to walk down 15 to get something at Wendy's. Which closes at ten. Lewisburg sucks ass for fast food. On the way there, a police car drove by once and both of us felt as though it was going to stop, but then we thought we were just being paranoid. Jeff (not his real name) and I walked back beside the garbage cans and discussed whether it would be okay to walk up to the drive-thru and order there. Eventually we gave up on that idea because we had heard it was illegal in some states. While we were standing there, a police car drove up to the menu and sat there for a little. We assumed he was getting something to eat.

So we were walking back to Burger King, back up 15. We were almost to Burger King and were walking through an empty parking lot when I looked back and saw the police car behind us. When I glanced back again, it turned into the entrance to the parking lot, pointed to us and then parked with its spotlights on. The officer got out of the car with his Mag Light and began his interrogation.

1O: "So what are you guys up to tonight?"
Jeff: "Just trying to get something to eat."
1O: "How many times did you go past Wendy's?"
Me: "We never even walked past it. We walked up to the doors and saw when it closed."
1O: "Did you go behind the garbage cans?"
Jeff: "No. We stood beside them and talked about if we could get food from the drive-thru. We decided it wasn't a good idea."
1O: "Why did you think it wasn't a good idea?"
Me: "We didn't know if it was illegal."
And around this time, another cruiser drives by and swings in the other side of the parking lot and turns his spotlight on us.
1O: "Did you go back to the apartments?"
Jeff: "No, just beside the garbage cans."
1O: "Did you see a black man?"
Jeff: "Uhhh, no."
Me: "No, we didn't see anyone."
2O: "He was there last night. He was dealing."
Jeff: "Oh, we didn't see anyone."
Then there was a silence for a while, while the two officers looked at each other.
1O: "Okay, you guys have a nice night."
Jeff: "Thank you."
Me: "Thanks."
We began walking away and after a half-block, I turned to Jeff and said: "We are following every single traffic regulation for the rest of the night!"

And this was my police raid adventure. Very riveting, wasn't it. Well, you know me... I was pretty much tweaked for about three days.

thats what we said! if we were allowed to buy them then why the hell did we get arrested for having them!?

im going to ask that when I go to the station today so i'l probably have a better idea as to why I got arrested...

I once got a warning from the cops for having an MP3-player on, while riding my bike, they said it was a law, I said: I don't believe you

then they started treating me like a 10-yo, and I then I waited until their rant ended

A few monthes ago I lived in the basement of a 100 year old chapel. The owners of the chapel rent out the basement to young folks looking for a cheap place to live on their own while they attend college or something. Anyway... Me, my roommate, and my roommates friend were all sitting out on the steps one night just talking... this was around 2 in the morning... And this cop drove up to us... got out of the car... squinted... and said "You guys don't look like your kids"

We all looked at eachother... all of us with facial hair... the roomies friend was 37... And kinda laughed... She had said that some woman called and said there were three kids sitting on the steps of the building.

One Halloween a couple of years ago I was with a group of friends and one of them knocked on someone's door and we all hid behind some bushes. The person at the door yelled at us and said they would call the cops if we didn't show ourselves. We didn't show ourselves and they went inside. That's the closest I've ever been.TheManWithAPS2

seriously??? ive done knock a door run so many times ive lost count....

wow it seems Im the only one to have been arrested here.... and Im only 16 :|

alot of you mention being stopped and searched, thats happened to me so many times over the last year or so Ive stopped bothering to keep the forms they give you afterwards.

i got arrested once but they let us go quick

it was a long time ago so i dont really remember the details

umm yeah i said id tell you what happened after i came back from the statoni so basicly after a good bollocking me and my mate were sent away with cautions so not really that much to worry about. However if we get arrested again we are in deep **** as the officer put it.

actually it does happen alot...ive been stopped many times for "matching the description of someone seen (insert crime here) in the area"

I've had a few minor brushes with the law, and one very big one.

As a little kid, me and my cousin and bro snuck into the football field a few times, and each time cops showed up and we always ended up getting warned and sent home, once we were brought home :P

The serious one involved drugs, and me and a pal got busted. It was all his, drugs and paraphernalia, and I just got off with trespassing, while my buddy got possession charges. Just a fine for both of us though :D

I am a UK Bobby so I think we need Good officers ...........btw
