It disrupts your learning?

In Geometry at the moment and I just DO NOT like the teacher and it is affecting my grades. He doesn't teach at all and just his teaching style is bleh.

Anyone experience this?

Go to your counselor and start crying. If you cry, they'll do anything you want.

Absolutely. Throughout my entire time of going to school (I'm a senior this year) I've encountered several teachers that I've hated to the point where I didn't want to do anything. The worst year was last year. Every teacher did not want to even help. They would just tell everyone, "Look in the book." "The answer is in the book." etc.

Agreed, standard classes are FULL of idiots (no offense to those actually taking standard classes, just from what I've seen) and teachers who don't care or who can't teach because of the kids who won't shut the hell up.

Sadly, this is an honours class.

Yes, the thought of being around my teacher made me sick to my stomach. I skipped a lot of days because of that. Then I had her framed and she's now a convicted sex offender.

Teaching takes passion and talent. Sadly, not all teachers meet those criteria. In college, you do most of your learning by yourself through reading - consider that class practice for what's to come. Form a study group or learn on your own if it gets too bad. The more proactive you are about learning for yourself, the more the material sinks in - at least in my experience.

I don't dislike her but one of my math teachers taught us way to fast. She would teach one thing one day and another the next day. My parents disliked her though.

Ah thanks for the advice. Was planning on doing that and asking him for tutorials, even though that may not help.

But if worst comes to worse I will ask a friend to help me =D

Maybe in my World History class, but there were two teachers, and students from both classes weren't doing that well.

My math teacher is so boring I once actually fell asleep on the class. Besides, I have no idea what she is talking about and I'm always like "Huh?"

Definitely, and they were crappy teachers at the same time. I've had several that absolutely everyone hated and were eventually fired.

I'm pretty lucky, actually. There are only a couple of just plain bad teachers at my school, and I'm going on to an establishment with one of the best reputations in the country. >_>

No, but I've had a teacher dislike me so much that he failed me for rebuking everything he said. I ended up appealing the grade and making an A though.
