have you ever run from the cops?

I was driving today (not speeding) and that sort of thing happened where I was approaching a light and it turned yellow right as I was getting close and I didn't have time to slow done so I just kept going right through. The light turned red as I was still in the intersection, and in my rear view mirror I could see a cop turn on his lights and try to chase me. Luckily he couldn't get through the stopped cars on the other side of the intersection, so I just kept driving and made it to my street where I turned off. It was kind of scary though. Sure I wasn't running away after committing some kind of huge crime, but I still didn't want to get pulled over. The cops in my town are really bored since there's no crime, and they're almost all incredibly obnoxious.

So yeah, anybody have similar stories?

me and my friends were getting into some unfinished houses and messing around in them one day. one of the people that lived nearby must have called the cops.we ran into the woods and we knew we couldnt outrun them but we knew the woods beter then them so we just used that to our advantge and got away

lol yeah my freinds and i did once, and it was kind of useless because we wouldnt have gotten in trouble anyway, and he caught us

I do not drive...My dad has gotten so many tickets though...He's a big speeder. He never runs though because you can get arrested for that.

no neither am I. I'm entirely non-gangsta. I despise rap music. The cops in my area have given me a lot of hell in the past though when I wasn't even doing anything wrong. Like accusing me and my friends of drinking when we were hanging out one night and making us breathalize. Their priorities are entirely skewed. They're supposed to protect the rights and safety of the people, but they just drive around trying to catch people for the tiniest offense.

I once recieved a ticket for going 45 in a 25 zone. Hardly worthy of a pull over if you ask me, but the cop insisted.CrimzonTide

Dont know were you were driving, but usually 25mph zones have either lots of pedestrians, or children at play. Going 45mph in a 25mph zone is ticket worthy. Now i can see if you got a ticket for doing a few mph over the speed limit, but imo not 20mph over the speed limit. Speed limits are their for a reason, cops follow the law, if you get caught breaking the law their's consequences.

yeah my and friends were out late blowing up fireworks in the street so on the way home i turned around and there was a cop card like 20 yards away so we just ran through some guys backyard and hopped the fence mastershake575

I was crazy, one time, there is a place where all street races starts there, so I was drifting then the cops showed up, alot of people was running in the street, alot of cars were escaping and I was one of them, lol, it was my friends car, it was a camaro SS 97, I stopped from drifting immediately after seeing the cops, put my foot in the paddle with max speed, I knew the streets better than the cops, so I quickly escaped and I was hearing the cops siren, I went to one of the houses near the streets, turned off the lights, turned off the car, waited for 1 hour, then returned home.

One time, there wasn't no one when I was waiting for the red light to turn green, it was 2 PM at the time and I couldn't wait for the light to turn green because I was in a hurry to be in time forfinal exam at college, anyways, I passed the red light, suddenly a blue Range Rover chasing me, so I was saying "WhyTF this fool is chasing me, I'll stop to see what he wants?", so he approached me, when I saw him, he turned out to be a cop returning home after duty, I was like "why I did pull off for this guy? ****", he caught me, gave me a ticket, took my licence and he was going to pull my car also, but I told him I was in a hurry for an exam.

yep, ive jumped out of a back of a cop cars window when he wasnt looking and took off running, my shoes flew off and i was running with just my socks on.

The cop was a total a hole too.

I got caught after a 2 minute chase through bushes, over fences, and through a parking lot, i had to wash firetrucks with the same cop the next week as my punishment

Ive ran from cops with my friends many other times and got away.

It was modded, but not too much, the Camaro SS is fast even if it is stock, it was almost stock, but there was some oil in the street and there was sand, I was drifting in the sand.

kinda a long story, ive told it before here on GS

I was drinking with 3 girls one night and we were hanging out at a closed gas station. Cop rolls up thinking we were trying to break in or something and asked me if i was drinking, i said no i wasnt, but he was like THATS BULL****!!!! (no lie). He searched me and found some alchy on me so he put me in the back of his squad car, then he proceded to talk to my other friends which are girls, he asked them if they were drinking, they said no, he said ok that was fine.

While i was in the back of the car , i noticed that the window could be rolled down, so i rolled it down and decided i was gonna book tees outta there, so i jumped out the window and ran, he immidatly saw me and pursued me until we both ran outta energy and stopped, i got surrounded by a ghost car and gave up.

After that ordeal the cops in my small town put bars on the windows, so no one could do that again.

It happens a lot here in my city. Cops want to stop people to get money for themselves and people realizing this motive, are never willing to stop their cars. MFaraz_Hayat
