Have you ever seen/met anyone famous in person?

What happened? Did you meet or say anything to them and where did you see them? And I'm not talking about a live concert or anything like that. I mean anywhere you wouldn't normally expect to see them.

I saw Jason Segel filming a movie (I believe it was Five-Year Engagement) at University of Michigan while I was taking classes there this summer. It seemed like he was directing, which is strange, and I wanted to take a photo of him but they wouldn't allow us to take pictures near the set.

Also a friend of mine and his family met Adam Brody from The O.C.

Hmmm.... Not too many. I did have a few beers with James Blake the other day (a couple of tequillas too) which was nice.

Let's see, I saw John Lithgow walking through Times Square with his family, when I lived in LA, had distant run-ins with David Arquette and Nicholas Cage, and had someone try to set me up on a blind date with a host from E! Also, when I used to do my webzine, I got to hang out on various occasions with Ministry, Tori Amos, KMFDM, Lords of Acid, Nitzer Ebb and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult (last led to me doing part of a tour with them as a dancer on stage). But best of all, my bf and I once saw Adam Sessler smoking a cigarette outside a restaurant on our way back from the grocery store about 3-4 years ago.

I saw a Pimp at Kmart once and said hi to him.

i know a guy that plays in the MLB. Marlon Byrd is his name. used to live next door to him and his parents. i still see his dad every once in awhile and we talk for a few minutes.

and this isn't me that met him, but my dad fixes heaters and air conditions and he once went to Gary Rossington's house (one of the guitarists for Lynyrd Skynyrd).

I saw a guy that looked like George Lucas. I told him how much I Episode 1 sucked and he agreed.

I saw Prince Ranier of Monaco in '89 when we anchored there for the 4th of july weekend. He came on board our ship for a tour.

I met Jon Schaffer, "Ripper" Owens, and all of the 2004 lineup of Trivium when they played Saratoga Winners (a local club) on tour (IE for "Glorious Burden" and Trivium for "Ember to Inferno"). Schaffer was the best: a bunch of us sat outside for an hour talking about history and metal. Too bad Dimebag's death shut that kind of thing down.

I saw Jay Leno at the Hilton in La Jolla, CA during a fund-raiser.

I was on America's Got Talent so I saw Howie Mandel, Piers Morgan, and Sharon Osbourne. Other than that, never.

I've met/gotten autographs from hockey players, but it's always an arranged event. I only remember randomly seeing Robin Williams at an Electronics Boutique once lol.

Pierce Brossnan came to my country once he was on an turistic island and I was lucky my dad was on a job on the same island and took me and my sister there (not to see Brossnan) I saw him sometimes but never said hi :(

I met World Boxing Champion Roberto Duran have an autograph and a picture, he sure has put on some weight

Oh and saw Daniel Craig filming Quantum of Solace I said hi as well as 30 other people

Shailene Woodley, main character of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" was in my 12th grade English class for 3 days

The most famous? Ben Affleck was in town shooting a film at the local airport, but I never went there because of time. The movie filmed here in Tulsa hasn't been released yet, I think it's directed by that guy who did the Tree of Life.

Yeah, Donovan is the QB for the Vikings this year. He spent last year in purgatory (otherwise known as the Washington Redskins). He spent the first 11 years of his career as a QB for the Philadelphia Eagles (10+ as the starter), where he was a 6-time Pro Bowler. The reason that I love the guy so much is that he was a 4-year starter at Syracuse University, and my favorite athlete as a result. He was named the Big East Conference offensive player of the decade for the 90's after his career. It was really cool for me to meet somebody that I had been watching and rooting for since I was 10 years old. Having met him, he seems like a truly nice individual who cares about his fans.

I once met Sir Ian Mckellan last year when he came to Australia for Waiting for Godot,

I had been to see it twice here in perth and on one night of its showing one of the crew members for backstage was sick and my cousin was a manage for backstage and asked me if i could fill in so i did and got to meat Sir Ian while he was having a chillax backstage before the doors opened,

hes has got to be one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and its a pity i only met him once.

But i tell you now if i ever meet Mirko Cro Cop and the next day i somehow died i would die a happy man,

One of my main 5 goals in life is to meet Mirko and have a conversation with him just about anything apart from fighting.
