Have you ever skipped school?

For any reason? I skipped almost a week when UC2 came out (bad idea) and I skipped another week to just relax and make music at home ( also bad idea) IDK why I did but I have to make it up in summerschool now or i get held back lol WBU? post for what reason as well.

Yeah, fairly frequently my senior year.

Yes in S2 a good couple of times , since that is quite an pointless year in secondary in Scotland. But now in s4 studying for standard grades i would not since its just stupid.

In highschool i skipped class on a very frequent basis. Cant give exact numbers, but well HS is a joke so i didnt feel like going to just zone out in class. College i skip most of my classes, and just come in and take the exams, unless its mandatory attendance.

Yea, very frequently upon entering high school, pretty much went on-off for a year & 1/2. That was when I was taken to this Alternative "program" for skippers :) It really helped and I loved that place! Wish I could go back, shame it only runs for 6 months :( Now I'm in a new school and doing really well.

Happened once when me and a couple of friends went to a netcafe to play Modern Warfare 2.

And when Halo 3 launched back in September.

Other than that, can't remember.

Yes, I did very often in High School. I didn't really take High School to seriously. Those things are behind me now and I'm doing great as a second year student in college.

I skip way to much, I always tell myself i'm going to stop but always do. It's just to easy to skip where I live. Probably only go to school 60% of the time.

Not intentionally, but there's been days when I've slept through the day and with it, college.

I never voluntarily skipped school. It was always when I was sick or something.

If you learn nothing from the class, and are able to just do the readings or whatever work on your own and still do fine in the class A-B range, how do you end up hurting yourself? Or are you using some type of it builds character approach, and you will have a better work ethic in the future? I could see that as having some merit, but its a person to person situation.

Or going in the last days of school , when the headmaster wants work to be done. But all the teachers just let everyone talk to each other since they cant be bothered to get work done.

Mostly during primary school. I skipped some days in freshman year ( I remember skipping one day in autumn and going with my Dad to Lyman's Orchards, and watching some History Channel show about Special Forces guys in Afghanistanwhen we toppled the Taliban).of High School (2004-2005), but I didn't like making up missed work. I didn't miss any days Junior year until after Memorial day, when I got a big fever (and missed part of the movie "The Scarlet and the Black" which we were watching in our Church History class, we also watched part of that movie in my 8th grade Spanish class but the teacher decided not to show the rest of it, So both times I NEVER saw the whole movie, ah!). I didn't miss any days Senior year. So far in College (I'm a Sophomore) I never missed a day, but I did skip two classes and go home early, because I had my Black Belt test and didn't want to be tired (I e-mailed the Professors beforehand saying I wouldn't be in).

I remember,In Sixth grade it was election day 2001, my sister and I skipped, my mother must've taken the day off from work. My mother took my sister and I and our cousin (he had the day off because of election day)to Cromwell, when we were at Payless Shoe Stores my Cousin saw some kid from his school and flipped him off (thekid didn't see him though), then we went to Burger King.

No. Only days when everyone does it. The day beforechristmas everyone leaves at lunch instead of the normal time.

No but in jr high school there were times when I wanted to but I was always afraid of getting caught and getting my a** beat at home.

im a freshmen as well skipped alamost 20 days and its not even the thrid marking period

Every Wednesday morning and every Friday afternoon.

I do sometimes, I generally skip maybe 3 or so times per marking period.

It's incredibly easy to skip classes in college.

sometimes i would leave school during lunch, by sneaking out one of the side doors, and walked to the corner store or to meet my brother. One time a teacher saw me but he was cool and didnt rat me out.

whenever i skip school my mom knows it, when she wakes me up for school i ask her if i can stay home that day, if i dont have too many classes that day and she is in a good mood, she tells the teacher that im ill, true story, but it is rare, since my girl is in my class... SCHOOL FTW!

yeah I did back in my stupid days until I realised that the majority of people who did that on a regular basis (I was a lucky one I guess) ended up not showing up next semester.

In my last 2-3 years at school I skipped around once a week.
