I don't think I've ever skipped school for the sole purpose of playing video games, but it definitely was a consideration.
Slightly off-topic.
But what happened to Blackleech?

Never. Business before pleasure.Cyrax-SektorIf you want to have a good time in life, business is pleasure..I think I might half to call in tommorrow or so to get some Gears of War time. A few of my online buddies are trying to start a team to list on Gamerscores.com, and I think we have what it takes to go near, if not to, the top.

I sure wish i am as cool as him one day.
And to answer the question: I took a day off when i got my PS2 6-7 years ago. And i took days off for FF10, Zelda WW, and Zelda TP
My job does not permit me to take more than a day or two off at at time. So I have three weeks of leave a year that I take here and there. I always try to time it to coincide with the release of video games.
So, in answer to your question, yes.
Last one was COD4. Just took off a day to lvl up and do nothing else. But there have been dozens.
